Adi's POV
I stomped back to my room, obviously pissed. Who does that guy think he is? I'm the prince. Nobody ever says no to me!
I slammed the door shut behind me, thinking about ways to make him mine.
I need to get to know him better. Find somethings he likes. Besides everyone has a weak spot.
Suddenly there's a knock at my door."Come in!" I call, the door opened and in stepped my brother, Tal.
He was the heir to the throne of luvenia he always looked really serious. I swear, I'm probably the only one (apart from his cat) that has seen his true smile. Not the fake one that he's forced to give everyone. He's a great guy, I'm not sure how I'd get around without him; always watching my back and stuff
"What's up bro?" I ask and he rolled him eyes at the word bro. We've talked about how it's not formal
"Mom and dad want to see you" he grinned "it's about your engagement"
"Uhhhh not this shit again" I mutter looking away from my brother "I hate when they talk about that"
"Why does it bother you so much, the princess isn't that bad" he asks taking a step closer and closing the door
"I just don't feel like getting married" especially not to a girl "I'm still young, younger than mom and dad when they got married. I wish they understood that I wanna have fun before having an annoying wife."
"I know... but sometimes we have to put the country before ourselves" I look back at him sharply
He doesn't know... does he? I mean nobody does but he's my brother, I tell him everything. Everything except that. You know, I'm gay
"This whole marriage thing makes me uncomfortable it goes against what I feel"
"You don't like her?" He asks raising an eyebrow
"Umm... she's alright, it's more like her species" that makes him chuckle
"I don't know where you're going with this"
"Tal. I'm not into girls" I search his face for any type of anger but I found a soft smile
"That's something to worry about, what are going to do?" He asks
"I still don't know, but I can't marry her"
"I'm glad you told me-please don't tell anyone, I don't wanna get thrown out, please" I beg on my knees this isn't a good look for me
"Adi clam down, you're my brother. I love you and I wouldn't want that to happen either" he says pulling me up
"Tell mom and dad I'll be there soon, please"
"Okay, see you later" he says as he leaves
That wasn't too hard. I can't believe I had done it sooner. There's no way the rest of the kingdom will be as accepting. As I walk to my fathers office, I think of what to say, an argument or something, anything. I can't get married.
I straighten up I'm still gay tho, and got ready to face my parents. I open the heavy wooden doors, letting my thoughts wander, to all the things that could go wrong.

That boy, Anthony, that I'll never have. These forbidden things I wish I could do to him, hold his hand, look into his glittering brown eyes, kiss him, have him for myself. Damn he's way too perfect. That feisty attitude, it does things to me. He's the only wifey I want
-"Ahhhh, Adi there you are" my father said with a small smile. My mom is here too as well as Tal. He gave me an encouraging smile
"So..." my father began "you are to be married in less than a year" I nodded
"Your mother and I were thinking it would be a wonderful idea for you and your betrothed, Emily to get to know each other better"
"I already know her, since we were like three"
"As friends, not as the married couple you two are to be" I ran my fingers through my hair, this is all going way too fast. They're talking about making me marry my childhood friend, I remember having a crush on her brother.
"So, in a few days she'll be over here, and you can discuss your future together. Doesn't that sound exciting? She's your future wife" he adds almost mockingly
"Why can't just be like Tal and get married whenever I want!" I argue
"Within a five year period" Tal interjects
"It's still a better option then what I have" I sulked
"Tal has a duty to our country. A responsibility much larger than yours, that's his main focus for now" my dad claimed
"Now. A queen will have to come later for him" my mom said in her soft voice "why are you so Opposed to this engagement?"
"Just a bit... questionable as to why I have to be married at such a young age" I said in a moody tone
"That's enough Adi! The decision has been made, there's no backtracking now" my father stated firmly "I promise you it's not as bad as it may seem" he's got to be kidding this is a tragedy, I'm waiting for misery to fall over me
