"Shouldn't you be at..." He stopped dead in the middle of his sentence. A long forgotten smile spread on his face at the sight of her.

"Evangeline!" (Eve ang a lean)

"Carson!"

They ran to each other arms spread apart and crashed into one another. I smiled at all the happiness in the room.

Carson was our best friend since forever and since he is sniffing her and kissing all over her face I'm guessing he missed her a hell of alot more than I did.

"Why don't you two go ahead and date already. its clear you like each other."

Evangeline blushed at my statement. She knew as well as I did how in love they were. He looked upon her with complete and utter love, devotion, and want, and she looked at him with the same want, and love but she had need in her eyes. They truly belonged together.

They stared into each others eyes, lost in their own world. I called their names but got no response.

SMACK! My hand connected with her cheek.

"Hello! Bestfriend over here!!" I yelled at her as she rubbed her now red and slightly swelled cheek.

"Why?!" She whinned.

"Well that was the only way to get your attention. I called your names like five times." She looked away with an embarrassed blush creeping onto her face. -Or is that just the red from where I hit her? Nah, its a blush.-

"So come on you can hang later when I go to work. But now its my time.'' I said as I grabbed her hand and pull her along. She wave bye to Carson as we left and huffed when the door closed behind us. We had settled on the bike when Carson stuck his head out and called to Evangeline.

"I'll pick you up at 5 okay?"

"Okay." She called back with a giggle.

I laid on my bike in my driveway waiting for Evangeline to pull up in her silver lexus. Bad girls club by Falling In Reverse blasted in my ears as I basked in the sun with my aviators on.

Something touched me and I reacted out of instinct. My fist swung and I felt it connect with something. I sat straight up on my bike and lifted my glasses to find Evangeline sprawled on my concrete driveway hugging her stomach. Pulling my earphones out I said, "That's what you get for scaring me."

"I figured i could move out the way fast enough but I was so wrong." She replied as she grabbed my outstretched hand. A small grunt of pain escaped her lips as she stood up straight. "Let's just go." She huffed out.

"I'm driving!" I yelled as I picked up her keys off the ground. The red head looked at me skeptically then got in the passenger seat.

"Where are we heading?" She questioned me.

"Our favorite place from when we were little... The fair!"

Her eyes brightened at this. When we were little we went to the fair everyday after school. We even made friends with the workers there. It was something we always did but it stopped when my father died. I became to busy with trying to make money, and she was busy with trying to get her a boyfriend. Now that she's back I figured why the hell not??

~

The Lexus comes to a halt in a parking space on the fair grounds, I kill the car and get out, Evangeline does the same. She shuts the car door and looks at the rides towering over the little game and food stands, slowly a small smile spreads across her face.

"Well let's get goin." I say as I begin making my way to the bracelet stand to get our ride pass bracelets.

Soon she catches up with me and screeches in my ear about how happy she is to do this again.

"Okay! Okay! I get your happy and all but that doesn't mean you have to ruin my hearing!" I practically yell.

''oops sorry"

I squint my eyes and say 'what?' In a old person voice. She giggles at my action and when I hear her snort I almost double over with laughter.

"Two bands please." I tell the man as I stick my arm in the hole Evangeline doing the same. He puts the bracelets on and we give him his money. Looping our arms together we skipped to the twister like we used to do when we were kids. Reaching it I look up at the giant metal contraption. When I was younger I remembered how huge it looked but now that I'm older it doesn't seem so big. The orange paint that covered the ride was beginning to chip and the steel arms squeaked as the ride came to a stop. The small line moved up and stopped at us.

"Why if it isn't the trouble sisters." -okay maybe we weren't the best kids at the fair- Said the old lady conducting the ride. She smiled showing her teeth, or the few she had. This was Phillis one of our "friends" from the fair.

"Phillis its great to see you again. Its been a real long time I'm surprised you even remember us." Evangeline said with surprise in her voice.

"How could I forget the two girls who glued my butt to the chair and my hands the the control panel. Or how bout when you rode with that chubby kid once and you told him that you swear you heard the ride break when he got on and that when it starts going y'alls pod was gunna go flying off the machine."

Me and Evangeline were laughing so hard remembering this well. The kid was screaming so much to let him off because he was scared and then he pooped his pants when the ride started moving.

My lungs were burning from the lack off oxygen, so I began gasping for air. I'm sure we were both scarlet red by the time the ride stopped. We then sobered up and picked our pod and climbed on putting our hands on the spin wheel. We waited as Phillis checked everyone's buckles and hobbled back over to the control panel.

The ride started slowly screeching just barely. It slowly built up momentum until we were in the air we spun the wheel and our pod turned with it. It was almost like being on the teacups but in the air. The wind whipping my hair every which way covering my vision but I don't care, I was to happy to care.

I stopped spinning the wheel as we started to slow much to my disappointment. I got off feeling a little dizzy and was soon joined by a laughing Evangeline.

"That was so fun!" She yelled in my ear once again.

"What's next??" She asked her eyes gleaming with eagerness like a child.

"What do you want to do?"

"Hmm.." She tapped her index finger on her pale chin in thought.

"Swings!" She exclaimed and pulled me towards the ride. -sometimes I swear she's a child.-

For an hour we rode rides until finally she got hungry and made me buy her a hot dog coke and cotton candy. We took a seat on one of the near by benches and ate our hotdogs in silence enjoying the scene around us. It was quiet for a while until she finished her hotdog and went on about how much she missed this and me and everything. She talked so much she didn't even realize that I was eating her cotton candy until it was almost gone. She smacked my hand and scolded me like a dog which only got her a smack upside her head. While she rubbed the side of her head I noticed her looking at me or at something behind me.

"What?" I asked confused as I turned around.

That's when I saw him.

I know its not the best but I try, may do a rewrite.

Tell me wat you think.
