Chapter 1

Food.

My stomach feels like it's caving in and I know I'm slowly wasting away.

Wind.

The slightest breeze, make my bones shiver, even though I'm wearing a hoodie.

I'm obviously not doing good.

But this was my choice.

I couldn't bare the thought of joining the fire elements because even there, I would be an outsider. They don't even know that spirit elementals exist and here I am, having two elements. My hands, make sure to make that fact known and gloves can't be worn 24/7. I'm an abomination to man-kind and this is why I'm hiding.

Ever since I ran-away from home, I have been living in the shadows for three years now. And I've gained basic survival skills but I have yet to experiment with my elements. They are dangerous and I can't do everything myself. I need help and most of all, a mentor.

The boy broke into a fast sprint as their laughter closely followed behind him. His footsteps quickly came to a stop, as he was faced with a dead end. Before he could attempt to escape, the gang found him and slowly started to close in. Sadistic grins, splayed across their faces as a ball of fire, burst from one of the guy's palms. Then another gang member, made the air wrap around the fire. My eyes widened as I came to the conclusion that, these people were not only using their elements in a negative way, but also mixing them together!

The boy who was leaning against the wall, sank to his knees in defeat, probably expecting the pain. But before I could even blink, I found myself stepping out of the shadows and in front of the gang. Seeing a chance to escape, the boy got up and ran away from the alley. An angry gang of elementals, turned back to look at me with murderous eyes.

And I'm pretty sure I peed myself.

Before I could even process what was happening.

A ball of fire and wind went hurling into my direction.

And after that, things got ugly.
