It had been some time since that dreaded day. The one where Sarah and Jane had killed Robert and brought an end to what was once The Eye. However, the fun hadn't stopped there since they now knew each other's secrets. They were both elite killers, trained to shape the world in a new light while also trying to graduate from university. These things went hand in hand with the level of threat that they posed. One could kill them physically, while the other could hurt them mentally. Yet, at the end of the day, they walked away unscathed. By some miracle, they managed to graduate and were finally free to do whatever they wanted.
Yet, even that reality was questionable since they had gone to school to chase different passions. They both ended up working for the city under the leadership of Jane's mother, Marie. With Alpha and Bravo either dead or behind bars for life, Sarah and Jane had become the forefront of the special ops team, and only them. After everything that happened, they realized that because they could trust each other, there'd be less chance of something happening. They were also always together. There was never any worry about what the other was doing, or if Marie needed to contact them, they'd both immediately be at the ready.
That being said, it brought a new element to the way Jane did things, and thus, their story picks up from here, with Jane yet again tied up in a gangster's warehouse. A part of her sometimes wondered why these gangsters didn't just give up. Hearing about their friends dying or of the nightmares they had brought upon the drug world. At most, Jane thought they would have been smarter, but they weren't, just because she acted like a ditzy young blonde walking in front of their headquarters late at night. They captured her without a problem and decided to hold her hostage until someone paid, only to be the ones that inevitably ended up paying with their lives.
Sitting there tied to a metal chair like in any cliche action movie. Jane's wrists were zip-tied to the armrests, and her ankles were securely fastened to the chair's legs. She wasn't going anywhere, and at the same time, she had no reason to as she happily smiled at the man across from her. The man had a shaved head, a tattoo of a symbol from another language that he probably didn't understand running down his face, sunglasses as if he was in a poker tournament, and to top it all off, he was playing with a comically large bowie knife that shined from the sunlight that entered through the warehouse windows. Beside him were two of his goons, each equipped with an assault rifle they could buy anywhere and a set of pistols, each in holsters on their hips.
All in all, it was a rather casual day. Jane sat there whistling a tune as the knife-wielding man in front of her took a swig from the whiskey bottle he had seated beside him. The liquid raced down his throat with each gulp until he took the bottle away from his lips, put it down where he picked it up from, and then rose from his chair. He seemed to think that he scared Jane, and maybe the scar over his eye was supposed to intimidate her, but it just looked like he ran into a door as a kid. Meanwhile, his two goons looked like they had lick-and-stick dragon tattoos on their faces, and all of it just added to the smile already on Jane's face. The leader of this gang, the one who had just been knocking back the booze, suddenly started to talk to his captive.
"What's so funny? You don't seem to be concerned that you're tied up in a room full of gangsters who could do whatever they want with you." The man snarled, getting closer to Jane, showing his teeth to her as the smell of alcohol escaped along with his breath.
"I mean, you could do whatever you want with me, but I'm a little tied up. I can't really do anything in this position." Jane said, playing dumb while childishly pouting.
"Oh, my sweet baby girl. That's the point. We don't want you doing anything stupid that would hurt that pretty little face of yours." He said, reaching out and grabbing Jane's chin, turning her head from side to side while she continued to smile brightly.
