Clemence's POV
I woke up feeling lazy all of a sudden. It was like, I regretted waking up.
I looked around the room. The walls were dirty white...
I am in a bed with a dextrose injected in me...
The machines around me and the smell of medicine.
I am in a hospital...
I tried to remember what happened but my head keeped throbbing.
It hurts so much. Why can't I remember being here in the hospital?
A man appeared at the door. He was surprised when he saw me and said:
"Oh? So you're awake...Do you remember why you're here?"
I was speechless. I couldn't remember what happened.
"So...you really don't remember. Have you seen this knife?" The doctor said, raising the knife in order for me to see.
The knife...Oh, that knife...
"I remember know, I was in a Kitchen Shop, I was buying a knife and saw a high---, I mean a college student named Pepper Park and she punched me in the stomach and that's all I remember."
I tried to recall all of the events. It all stopped there, I didn't know what happened after that.
"For now, just keep resting. It will restore your energy. Once you already feel better, you may be discharged now."
I listened to what the doctor said, trying to memorize what he said.
"If you'll excuse me, I have some appointment after this. It's already 9:00 AM."
I looke at the clock, it's already 9:00, maybe his appointment will be in a few minutes later.
Suddenly, I heard a familiar sound. It was my cellphone's ringtone.
I answered the call. It was an unknown number. Who could this be?
"Hello?" I said.
"Are you Clemence Crest?" The voice said.
"Yes. I'm Clemence, who's calling?"
"Nevermind that. For now, meet Pepper Park at the coffee shop near your location."
"Pepper? That college girl?"
"Yep. I know you're in a hospital. Better hurry or you'll miss the oportunity."
"Okay, I'll be coming there. What time?"
"As soon as this call ends."
"Okay. Bye." I said.
The call was ended. I tried to get up when suddenly, the doctor was pushing me down.
"Hey now, you need to rest for a while. Don't try to exert yourself." He said.
"I need to get up. Someone called me, where's the nearest coffee shop?" I said.
"It's just 5 kilometers south from here. It's better if you ride a vehicle rather than walking." He said.
"Thanks Doc. I have to go now, someone's waiting for me." I said, standing up.
I stood up from my bed and took the dextrose out.
"Remember, don't run. It'll stress you out." The doctor said.
I turned around and made a smile signalling, I'll follow his instructions.
I walked as fast as I could. After 15 straight minutes, I saw a coffee shop: Fagioli Coffee
I entered inside and saw Pepper. She was drinking something and suddenly, she abruptly stood up and signalled me to come with her.
"Wait! Where are we going? Who was calling me 20 minutes ago?" I asked her.
Man, I was really a mess.
"Stop asking and follow me." Pepper said.
"It's like I'm following a kidnapper, enrolling in a fraternity and get involved with some criminals." I said.
"You really are hard-headed." Pepper said sarcastically.
I just shutted my mouth and followed Pepper.
I saw a black car and stopped right in front of Pepper.
The car's window slided down and a boy was in there driving the car. I think he's in early teenage years.
"Hey Pepper! Come in, Clemence Crest!" The boy said, pointing his finger at me.
"How'd you know my name?" I said, almost yelling.
"Just come inside or else." He said with a deadly aura.
"Okay, okay." I said, opening the door and getting inside the car.
I sat at the back seat, getting myself comfortable.
Next to me was, Pepper and the boy with the deadly aura was driving the car.
"Sorry to be rude, but I have to do this." Pepper said.
She hit me on my nape and for a second, I suddenly fainted. The last thing I saw was the boy looking at me.
1 Hour and 30 Minutes later...
I woke up in a room where the walls were colored light aqua.
Am I in a hospital again? I tried to remember what happened.
I hate going to hospitals, it makes me vomit and chill to the bone.
A glass door suddenly opened and it revealed Pepper and the boy who had a murderous aura.
"Why am I here? I hate lying on hospital beds." I said, getting red.
I almost didn't notice that the temperature was hot.
"My name is Grant Ward. You can call me Ward." Ward said.
"Ward can be rough sometimes so you have to deal with it, now that you're teammates." Pepper said.
"Teammates? What are you talking about?" I said.
"Congratulations for being a student of Haven Academy! From now on, you're a Havenian!" Pepper said, smiling.
"Oh? So that explains why Haven Academy is engraved in symbols of H and A." I said, laughing.
"I hope we can get together. Before I forget, I was the one who called you." Ward said.
"It's okay. I don't know the school grounds. Mind if you show me around the school?" I said, scratching my head in embarrassment.
"Ofcourse not. You'll just fit in this school, I know it." Pepper said.
I smiled thanking both Pepper and Ward. I am starting to think, I'll have new friends in school.
At the end, it will be really a fresh start for me, Right Sis?
