Chapter 6

~2 weeks later- Bryan's POV~
I can't believe it. Storm's gone. Missing. I could've reached her in time if I ran but I didn't. It's my fault she's gone! Xylo did the best thing by calling out her name, but the vampires did the worst thing by taking her. We all went looking for her after taking care of the fire. We couldn't find her or her captors. I miss her. I want- no, need her back immediately! But, I'm slowly losing hope. Will I ever see her again?
~Storm's POV~
It's been 2 weeks since Mev brought me here to protect me. Surprisingly, Mitch and Scarlett have been treating me amazing since I got here. Mitch even got me a fox! That's my favorite animal! He even said I can take it to Pack Haven when I go back. Apparently, my eyes haven't changed back to their sky blue color, so I can't leave just yet.
It's a bummer.
"Hey, Storm. How are you?" Mitch asks me the same thing everyday at this exact time. I nod. He hasn't said anything about my eyes since he first saw their red color. Apparently Mev told him it was a gene where my eyes occasionally changed from my normal eye color to the same red color as a vampire.
Thanks, Mev.
"I'm kinda hungry..." He runs down to Mev and tells him something. Can't hear what, though. They immediately run back up and Mev has me look into his eyes. Then he says the words I've been waiting to hear.
"Time to go home, Storm."
~Time Skip~
Mev and Mitch decided to come with me as a precaution in case someone attacked me. I was in between them with my fox, Tattletail, in my arms. He liked the name so that's his name now. I was in that tower for so long that I forgot what the whole forest looked like. Heck, I even forgot what Pack Haven looked like!
Seriously?!?!
"You excited to finally go home?" I nod, a sudden pep in my steps. I couldn't wait to see everyone.
~Time Skip~
When we got to Pack Haven, I started looking and listening for my friends, but not before saying goodbye to Mitch and Mev.
I'm not rude, you know.
Once they leave I reenter Pack Haven only to get ambushed by the pack. I mean all of my friends in the pack! Minus Bryan, which upset me a little.

I'm glad to be back home again.
"Bryan was losing hope to ever see you again, Storm!" I giggle.
"I can't stay away for too long, huh?" They all laugh. "Speaking of, where is Bryan?"
"He just went to look for you." I suddenly get an idea.
"When he gets back, tell him to go to the woods. I have an idea for my return."
~Time Skip~
We set up the scavenger hunt leading back to my house where I'm waiting. Now all we have to do is wait.
Great.
~Bryan's POV~
I just came back from looking for Storm in the forest and now I have to go back into the forest?!?! Maybe they're helping me find her this time?
"Wait what's this?" I ask out loud when I reach a chest in the forest. I'm honestly real confused. I open the chest to find a note. It reads: "Go to the first place you met me for your next clue. -Alpha." The clearing in the forest right by Pack Haven? Why would I - wait is this a scavenger hunt?!?! I loved it when Mario did these for me and Storm as kids. Wait, what's the prize this time? Anyways, I head to the clearing for my next clue.
"Hi, Bryan. Find the place you first met me for your next clue." Xylo tells me and I listen excitedly.
I head for the tavern to run into Mario - Sorry, Alpha - who shows me my last clue: A drawing. I know where to go: Storm's house. I run towards her house to find out what the prize is to find a great surprise.

I suddenly find myself fighting back tears.

I start to shake as I try not to cry.

Is it actually her?

"Hi, Bryan." Storm starts to cry. "I missed you." I suddenly run at her in joy. I hug her as I stop fighting back my tears. She hugs me back, rubbing my back just like before.
"I missed you so much!" We both reluctantly let go and end the hug right then and there. Reluctantly, people! "How did you escape?!?!" She sighed.
"I didn't." I tilt my head. Then she says something that shock me.

"They let me go, Bryan."
