Chapter 11

--- IN THE INFIRMARY ---

i walked into the infermary and placed Aki and the Winter Soldier on there own tables. I was about to leave when I saw Skye in the back of the room.

"Doctor?"

the doctor hurried to my side, "yes Madam Hydra?"

"who's she?"

"A SHIELD agent that went after the commandar."

i looked at the doctor, "was anyone with her?"

the doctor nodded his head, "he's in detention block A. have one the guards help you if you need it."

"i know where it is Doctor," i looked at aki and the winter soldier, " i want them back to fighting strength by the time i get back."

i walked to the door and stopped when i hears the doctor say, "yes madam Hydra."

--- detention block ---

"call ward. i want to speak with the commander."

"yes madam hydra."

i looked at the hydra soldier, "open warlocks gate."

the guard said, "but ma'am!"

i looked at him, "did i stutter!?"

"no ma'am"

the cell door opened and i walked over and to warlock. once i set foot in his cell he grabbed my neck and held me up against the wall.

"you traitor!"

"traitor," i started to whisper, "this was the only way i could get in here. you guys didnt check in so we came looking."

"we," warlock dropped me.

"the soldier and child are in the medical bay unconcious," i heard footsteps as i slowly started to get up, "youre friends cant help you now Warlock. youre as good as dead if you side with them," ward was now standing in the door way, "side with us. fight for us and see a future in which you can let your powers run free."

warlock said, "and if i refuse."

ward spoke up, "you spend your days in this cell."

warlock looked down for a moment as if he was thinking it over then to ward, "i'm in if i work for her," he motioned to me.

i said good, "then placed my hand on the side of warlocks face. i blinked my eyes twice then took a step back.

"what did you do?" asked ward.

"what i did to the others. Warlocks under my command now."

the three of us left the cell and headed into the elvators. ince the doors shut ward looked at me and said, "you wanted to talk."

"why are you having your people spy on me."

"i'm not."

i motioned to warlock. he pinned ward against the wall.

"fine, fine," ward looked at me, "i had my doubts about you. You have been a SHIELD agent since you were 18. 15 years of service and commitment doesnt fade.

"15 years. ward youve been there longer than i have and look at you. a man gave you a second chance and when it came down to it you put my friend in the hospital."

"friend?"

"Leo fitz. the man you ejected from the jet."

"how is he?"

"he died saving jemma's life."

ward looked away. i made warlock tighten his grip around wards neck.

"he was 20. he was 20," i turned away from him, "your lucky i dont turn you in. theres a heavy bounty on your head."

when the elevator doors opened we walked toward medical to find the winter soldier, aki and skye waiting for us.

aki spoke first, "we better go. i had the doc there put in a memo that we were taking him for medical care before winter knocked him out cold."

"lets nock him out cold," said skye.

the winter soldier aimed his metal hand and hit ward a few times. warlock got his turn and eventually knocked out ward long enough for us to put him in holding on our jet. once everyone was on board the jet skye had mia and warlock take off while she spoke with james and aki.

"so what happens to us?" asked aki.

"i put in a good word for you. im sure the director will let you go once he finds out what you did here."

the jet took off.

--- In the air ---

"i think you to will be fine. if not ill ask coulson if i can keep an eye on you. you both would be good here on this team. you both could make a huge difference."

"I'm glad you think so. I know I don't get to make a request but perhaps," James was interrupted by Skye.

"I'll see what I can do," Skye looked down the hallway, "if he gets out... shoot to disable. Not kill."

"Yes sir," said James. Aki nodded her head before the two left to watch ward.
