Within an hour Cas left. I was able to have some clothes my mother brought in. Of course they checked all of my items for anything sharp. Apparently I had a pencil sharpener in my bag so they checked it way more thoroughly. I had the book "The Lie Tree" by Frances Hardinge. It was actually a friends book that I had forgot to return to him. Cody was one of very few friends. He was probably closest to me if I am being honest. He still had no idea I cut. I could see his face when I was being loaded into the ambulance. He was balling his eyes out. That just makes me wish that once again, that I waited til I got home.
After a few minutes, Ashley returned to our room. "Hey what's the name?" she asked bad-assily. "It's Jennifer, but my friend(s) call me Jenny." "Well I guess I'll call you Jenny then, call me ashes," she chuckled. "I guess you will, and I will too" "So what are you in here for, Jenny?" "I was caught cutting in the school bathroom," I was so embarrassed to admit that I just looked down at the worn black Chuck Taylors on my feet. "Damn man, that sucks. You mom disown you yet?" "Nah but my dad disowned me about seventeen years ago." "Wow. Way to ruin the mood!" I just laughed and continued looking down. She grabbed my chin and tilted my head up, "Chin up, kid. You can only go up now."
