The Alchemist

Varian woke up. Light was shining through his window. He yawned and got up. Rudiger, his pet raccoon gave a little squeak as a greeting. 'Good morning to you too.' Varian answered.

Varian wasn't that big. He was a 14-year-old who was kinda short for his age. He had black hair whit a blue streak. He always wore goggles and way too big gloves. He had a blue shirt whit rolled up gloves, brown pants and an apron.

He picked up a book and walked down the stairs. He wasn't very hungry and just took an apple from the kitchen. His das was on a trip to get stuff for the village as usual.  He walked down to the basement where his lab was, cleaned up his desk and placed the book in the center of the desk and looked through it. Then he stared at his biggest interest:...Alchemy.

He didn't notice how much time had passed when he heard footsteps. Was his dad back? No, that wasn't possible, his dad was on a really long trip. Then.. then there are intruders in his house!

Panicking about the strangers that had entered his house, he fast created a chemical compound that created a fog in the room behind him.

He grabbed his way to big jacket and mask, put them  on and sneaked into the room behind him. He forgot to put on the light in the room next to him, in his excitement of starting with his alchemy.

He stepped on a chair to look bigger and more intimidating to the strangers. "What do you want?!" The mask he wore made his voice sound deep and scary, and he was pretty proud of himself.

"Um, hi.." he heard a (probably) young woman say.

"...I wanted to ask you about my hair because you're such a magical exp-"

"MAGIC?! I do not work with magic!"

He put a light on and pulled off his mask.

"I mean technically its alchemy but yeah, don't sweat it!"

"Got it," The woman says nervously.

Varian looks at the 2 lady's. He sees a very handsome woman with short black hair and beautiful eyes. And he sees t-t-the princess!!
