"Now where are the shoes.." I whisper to myself, then I spot 3 racks full of shoes.

"What the hell, who needs that many shoes?"

I decide on some yellow checkered vans. I get out of the closet to see Jordan in the doorway,

"And where do you think your going" she says with a fake smile plastered on her face.
"Aidan's" I say with a wide grin
"Did your mom say yes" she asks
"Yep, she says it's fine" I reply trying to act like she actually said that.

Jordan nods her head yes and walks out. But something about the way she smiled rubbed me the wrong way.

I looked around the room one more time before walking out the door, I sighed as I looked at my bright pink room. watching the red haired girl stare back at me in the mirror blankly.

I walked out the door and took out my phone, I walked down the spiral stairs, and I spot a giant door next to the kitchen, hopefully it's the front door, I think.

I walk towards the door and I can feel Jordan's eyes on my back, something about her is just... wrong. I can feel it.

I open the giant door for it to reveal mansions upon mansions,

"Woah" I whisper to myself

"Hey Ava! What's up!" I hear a masculine voice say. Then a tall brown haired boy walks up, who was that? Definitely not Aidan I think, or was it? Either way he wasn't the guy on my background.

"Oh, hey" I say almost scared, I mean, he was at least a foot taller than me, he was also probably 15 or something. I looked at his face, he had dark freckles and cute dimples, his eyes were a pretty light brown to.

"You wanna play soccer with me and Noah?" He says with a wide goofy smile,

"Oh, sorry I'm going to a friends house right now." I say withought smiling back, and I guess he got the message I didn't want to talk since he started to back away after I said that.

I saw him run back to a park with his Noah friend, there were surprisingly a lot of kids there, ages 5-18, I scoffed, who plays soccer anymore anyway? but I had to admit, the boy was kind off cute, in a goofy way.

And then I went on with my walk as if that awkward conversation never happened.

I admired all the giant houses on my block for a while, the neighborhood was so pretty, blue skies, birds chirping, pretty houses.

It was nothing like my last life, my parents divorced when I was 8, and my dad kept our house so me and my mom were forced to live in the bad side of Chicago, we had little money and it was basically my lowest point in life. But that was behind me now, this was my new life.

Then I realized I got so caught up In thinking I forgot where I was going, I had walked right past Aidan's house. I sighed as I walked a block back,

I finally arrived at his house, and even though it was only a 3 minute walk, I was breathing heavily and my feet were sore.

I was standing in his doorway, admiring his amazing home. I hesitated before knocking, thinking if I should turn back.. but I finally gathered the courage to knock.

"Ava! Your here" I heard a voice say.

The door opened and I saw him.
Aidan.
