Lukas Morgan never thought he'd leave Earth.

Yeah, it was his dream. And yeah, he would love to be able to explore the final frontier, but in a family of four siblings, a sick mother, and a father who barely made enough money to feed them all? The chances he could even ever try out-- let alone pay for flight school-- were slim to none.

He'd accepted his fate of becoming a mechanic like his father. And although his dad working on the ships at the flight school may seem like a blessing to most people, it was torture for Luke. Whenever he went to work with his dad, just watching all the kids there made him angry about the way things were. How unfair it all was.

But sometimes that was just life. Unfair. Unjust. Downright bad. All good adjectives.

Though when an alien ship crash lands right in the field outside his town, and the people inside are looking for a Lukas Morgan, he would give anything for that simplistic life back.

They tell him about some prophecy-- one that sounds like crap ton of bullshit-- that says he was going to save the entire universe.

Yeah, just another Tuesday.

(HELLA IMPORTANT) author's note

Heyo friends, I just need to explain a few things.

1) This is kind of a weird story and I don't really know why I'm doing it. Basically, I told my friend that I'd seen a bunch of Voltron stuff and got this impression of the story line but I started watching it and it was completely different. She asked me what I thought it was going to be about and I told her a little plot line thing so she told me to make a story and yeah.

2) Since this is loosely based off Voltron, it will have some similar elements. Like everyone is going to have initials or whatever but I honestly had no idea what Voltron was about-- like not even the giant robot part.

3) If you don't want Klance, I'm sorry but please leave. I thought they were actually canon for like a million years so the ships gonna be in here. (And this is my first time writing an LGBTQ+ ship. I am a straight female so please bear with me here)

4) Lukas is Lance. Idk why I thought he was the main character but here we are. Kai is Keith, Shen is Shiro, Harv is Hunk, and Presley is Pidge.

5) this is PG-13, sorry kiddos. Well, idc really if you're 10 and reading this, tbh, but be warned.
