i knew what i was going to walk into as soon as i felt my hand touch the knob, swinging the door open.

there it was: brendon on top of ryan.

"fuck." he said, getting off, but he didn't sound sorry, guilty.

"are-are you fucking serious?" i laughed slightly, starting to cry. "you accused me of cheating?"

"tyler, babe, c'mon—" he reached out to touch me, but i backed away.

"no! i can't believe you. we were together for over a decade, does that not mean anything to you? so you decide to cheat on me with ryan? am-was i not good enough for you? and something doesn't tell me that this probably isn't the first time!"

"watch who you're fucking talking to, ty." he said, nonchalantly, pulling on boxers. ryan had his hands over his eyes.

i took the ring off my finger and turned around to run as fast as i can.
