When he woke up, Klaus immediately saw Diego and Ben sitting beside him. They were both sleeping, they were exhausted.
Yes, he regretted what happened.
Regret. That was so stupid. He's the one that chose to take pills again, why would he regret it? He didn't care about himself, not really.

He looked back at his brothers.
He regretted it because he made them sad.

Disappointment.

He thought they were the only people that really cared about him in that super dysfunctional family. He felt like his other siblings just saw him as a desperate junkie.

A desperate junkie. That's what you are, no wonder they all hate you.

"Stop. Please."

He tried to sit up, but his chest hurt so bad he couldn't.
Just as he did so a nurse got in the room and quickly walked towards Klaus, helping him lay back down in a comfortable position.

"Sir, I need you to lay down and rest."

Klaus sighed and nodded, before turning his head once the nurse left to look at Diego, now awake and looking at him.

"Welcome back."

Diego stood up and looked outside of the room through the door, trying not to show how sad he really was.

"I'm so-"

"Yeah, you're so, so sorry. Whatever, you always say that. Yet you always end up like this."

Klaus knew his brother was right, he just didn't expect it coming from his mouth.
Ben woke up as well because of the two talking.

"Klaus, I'm not mad. I'm just worried about you. I'm sorry I said that. Promise me you won't do that again, I'm being serious."

Diego waited patiently, even though his brother didn't answer and no promise was made. He knew Klaus would've tried.

"Hey, look at this."

Diego walked back towards the two chairs and messed Ben's hair, leaving Klaus with a confused yet happy look on his face.

"You can see him?!"

Diego nodded with a half smile on his face, and Ben stood up, smiling as well.

"I'm not dead anymore apparently."

Ben felt amazing, even though it still felt awkward knowing everyone could see him. He had missed his siblings, he couldn't wait to meet them all again, but Klaus was the priority.

"I'd ask you to hug me but I don't think that's a good idea. You'd probably hug me tighter just to hurt me, you bastard."

Klaus coughed, putting his right hand on his chest.

"Which one of you two broke my fucking ribs?"

Diego giggled. He hated how his brother could make him laugh in every situation.
Well, Diego didn't exactly do the opposite thing. He made Klaus laugh at their father's- adoptive father's funeral.

"It was me. Your bones breaking felt really nice under my hands."

"Thank you?"

Diego looked over at Ben, that nodded. Klaus looked at both of them with a confused look on his face.

"There's something we need to tell you."
