Elliott was waiting in the waiting room. He'd been waiting for about thirty minutes now and had grown impatient. 'Where is my father?' he wondered. After a few more minutes, he stumbled out of his chair, and gently opened the cold, metal door.
In the next room was a hallway, and a few doors. His black shoes clunked on the titanium floors. 'These doors operate by buttons,' he thought to himself. He pushed the red button, and encountered a strange creature. Or at least, what he thought was a creature. It seemed to be breathing, but didn't move. It was a scarlet blob of slime, or Jello. It made out of the ordinary noises. It wasn't a language, but more of a grunt or groan. "It's better off there," Elliott mumbled, and shut the door.
The door on the end of the hallway had 'Experiment Room 1' imprinted on the titanium door. But there was no button. It had a lockpad with zero through nine on it. He put in every code his father ever uttered. "One more code." Elliott's birthday. 1/12/03! The door grunted then opened. The room was a mess. Wires spilling out from the ceiling, sparking. Complicated machines on the floor, with more wires coming out and most importantly, his father on the ground, dead
