The drive home was silent, calm, peaceful even. Rey was bursting with excitement and he could tell Kriya felt the same. But, he was confused, throughout the drive home, Kriya looked puzzled, so engrossed in thought that she hadn't noticed when Rey stopped the car outside Juhu Beach.
"Kriya? Kriyaaaaa?" No response. Then Rey shifted towards her, brushed her hair back before screaming in her ear, "KRIYAAA!"
Aaaaaaa! Kriya screamed as she shrivelled up in the corner of her seat, SHOOK and panting. "Rey, yeh tum kar kya rahe ho! You gave me a heart attack."
"Well, Kriya main tumhe kabse bulla raha hoon. Tum jo ho, apni hi duniya mein ko gayi."
After taking a moment to brace herself, Kriya finally realized where she was. "Rey, hum beach pe kya kar rahe hain?"
"We're going for a walk to celebrate."
"Yeh baat tum pyaar se nahi kar sakte the?
"Kar sakta ta par uss mein woh maaza nehi hain!" Rey winked. "Stop rolling your eyes and chalo."

While wandering on the beach under the midnight glow, Kriya remained pensive. It wasn't until several moments passed that it finally clicked! Kriya wasn't confused anymore, she realized this is what she wanted, and it was time to tell Rey.
Kriya halted during their walk and firmly pulled onto Rey's hand to grab his attention.
"Kriya, tum kar kya rahi ho?" He said as he saw her kneeling on one knee.
"Marry me" Kriya stated.
"What?"
"I said marry me."
"But Kriya, all of a sudden, where did marriage come from?"
"Rey when you held that award in your hand today, I could not have been happier. I saw our dreams come true; you're a choreographer, I'm running D3 Dance Academy. Aur phir woh ladies mujhe congratulations bole ke liya aae the and they called me Mrs. Singhania and I was shell-shocked. We've been together forever and we've never talked about marriage and yet the thought of being called Mrs. Singhania wasn't scary, because I am a part of the Singhania family. I love Dad and kaka.
So marry me, Mr. Reyaansh Singhania and I promise you, I will never leave you ever again. I'll wake you up every morning and steal the remote from you when we're watching the tv every night. I'll laugh when you try to cook" Rey chuckled "and I'll go skiing with you every winter if you promise to watch FRIENDS with me however many times I'd like and let me hit playfully when you're being a jerk!"
"Miss Kriya Ghai, I'd like nothing more than to marry you"
"Really?"
"Really."
"Then shut up and kiss me, you idiot!" Rey brought Kriya up to her feet before pulling her into a strong and passionate kiss. Kriya grabbed on to Rey's collar as she pulled him closer. The two broke apart to simply fall into a pattern of quick hush kisses in, where they'd whisper I Love You in between.
A few moments later, the two settled on the beach together, feet cooling in the fresh ocean water.
"Rey.."
"Haan Kriya."
"Main shaadi ke baad apna naam nahi change karoge. I know tumhe lag raha tha ki main itni der ke liya khe rahi thi, Mrs. Singhania sounds perfect and right, par Mrs. Singhania tumhari mom thi, main nahi. Meri mom ka naam toh sirf main rakh sakti hoon na. I hope you don't mind."
Rey popped a kiss on Kriya's forehead. "I know and I wouldn't expect anything less from my Jhansi ki Rani. Smriti aunty would be proud of you, Mrs. To- Be Kriya Ghai-Singhania."
"Mrs. Kriya Ghai-Singhania? Sounds perfect na!"
"You're perfect!"

"Oh shit!" Rey screamed on the ride back home.
"Kya hua Rey? Itni jaldi cold feet aa gayi?" Kriya said with a stoic expression.
"Shut up."
"To phir kya?"
"Sharon is gonna kill us for not having a full on filmy proposal".
"Woh toh maine socha bhi nahi tha. Ab kya."
"Ab toh ek second proposal hi ek raastha hai.....
