Killer wheeled Error out of the hospital in a wheelchair, and out onto the sidewalk. "We're gonna use a shortcut, alright?" Killer told Error. Oh god...teleportation...I don't know if my body can handle that.. Error thought miserably. Killer slowly covered Error's eyes, so he wouldn't be too dizzy. He helped Error stand. "1...2...3." Killer counted down, and Error gripped onto Killer's sleeve as they were teleported into Ink's house. "You okay buddy?" Killer asked, slowly uncovering Error's eyes. Error nodded and took in his surroundings. There was very little color, at least from he saw. He remembered Ink's house being filled with paintings and color. But now, the walls were bare, and all the paintings and framed art was now in a pile of glass, broken frames and ripped up pieces of paper on the table. There was a bit a red droplets on the kitchen floor, but Error only wondered if it was just spilled paint. Dust came downstairs shaking his head. "He's been crying and shaking for the past-" He cut off when he saw Error. "Where's I-Ink?" He asked. Killer and Dust exchanged an uneasy look. "About that..." Killer began. "We need to talk." Dust finished and they both sat down in front of Error. "While you were in the hospital...Ink grew so worried...so anxious..so...so..." Dust looked for the right word, and Killer filled in. "So broken.." Error made a face, and looked towards the stairs. "Why can't I see him...?" Error asked warily. Killer rubbed the back of his head and Dust avoided my gaze. "WHY TH3 HeLl C@NT I S33 HIM!?" Error slammed his fist down on the arm of the wheelchair, making the two skeletons jump. A door opened down stairs and Ink limped to the stairs. "What's going o-" Before he finished, Ink took a glance at Error and practically flew back to the room and slammed the door. "Take me to h!m.." Error growled. The first day back, and it was not going as exspected..at all. Killer and Dust looked at each other before Dust jogged upstairs and Killer helped Error get to the stairs. Dust went back to his friends and nodded.
(Lazy timeskip brought to you by a lazy author)
Error quietly knocked on the door to Ink's room. Dust and Killer were waiting downstairs, but alert in case something were to go down. Ink slowly opened the door and hid behind it and Error limped in. Ink had on his black pants and white T-Shirt, so his arms were exposed. revealing all the bandages on his forearms. "Ink...wh@t happ3ned..?" Error took an awkward step towards Ink, but the shakey skeleton stopped him. "Please...I don't want you to see me.." He turned and made his way to the bathroom and closed the door. Error slid down and leaned against the door. There was no way in the 7 circles of hell he was going to leave Ink again. "Ink..please..you gotta tell me what happe-" He was cut off by the sound of sobbing. Ink was in front of the mirror in the bathroom. He had completely stripped and was crushed by his weak and terrible appearance. He was covered neck to ankle in bloody bandages. Not terribly bloody, but it still deeply upsetted Ink to look at himself. "Ink! Please let m3 !n..!" Error knocked on the door, a little harder than he ment to, but he was eager to see what was wrong. He used the wall to climb, and stand up. "N-no, I don't want anybody to see me!" Ink shrieked. Error tried the door, and noticed it wasn't locked. "I'm coming in, alright?" Error didn't waitnfor a response before he swung open the door. His eyes widened to an almost impossible size as he gazed as the frail, quivering skeleton in front of him. Ink tried to cover himself up, but the bandges did that for him. "I-ink.." Error stared at him in horror. "D-don't look at me...like i-im a freak.." Ink layed on the floor in a futile position, covering his face. Error collasped next to Ink and pulled him into a tight hug, carful not to hurt him. Error winced as his body made contact with the floor, but he didn't care. Ink sobbed into Error's embrace as he muttered "Im sorry" over and over again. Error stared at Ink's arms, but continued to stroke his skull, and rub soothing circles on his back, carful not to hurt the fragile creature in his arms. "Ink...l0ok @t m3.." Error said, softly. Ink hesitantly looked up at the taller. "Im h0m3 now....and your gonna be okay...w3 all @re. Okay?" Ink nodded slowly and burried his face into Error's chest. Error slowly but surely stood up and held out his hand. "How bout we get you can clean dressings, some new clothes, and we get some dinner..alright?" Error knew he probably should be rested. But he didn't give any fucks at all about his well being right now. He just cared about his beloved.
(Super amazing time skip folks)
Killer and Dust agreed to clean up the house while the 2 skeletons went out to eat. Ink shifted nervously in his seat. "Maybe...this isn't a good idea..." Ink glanced at Error, his bandaged arms, and to the door. Error grabbed Ink's hand and gave it a gentle squeeze. "It'll be okay... "Besides, Killer forced me to bring this stupid backpack for my oxygen masks." Ink nodded and they took off. When they reached the restaurant, Ink started to franticly pull down his sleeves and pant legs, only to discover that he was still in a neat white T shirt, with a few swirl designs on it. Ink started to panic. Error winced at the sight, and his growing headache, but he slipped off his jacket and wrapped it around Ink. The jacket was insanely big on Ink, but it made him feel safe. When they were seated, Ink looked around the huge restaurant. He had never actually been in any restaurant besides a cafe and Grillby's. Error reached into his pocket and pulled out a piece of paper. He slid it over to Ink and smiled. Ink gave him a confused look, and slowly picked the paper up. He turned it over and saw the most amazing things. Magic and life, poured across the paper, images of the happiest memories, danced in front of Ink. Designs, shapes, and pure magic flooded onto the paper and danced. It was beautiful. Images and colors, bouncing to life, as memories played in front of Ink. Then, an image slowed in front of Ink's eyes. A picture of Ink and Error, when they were merely children, star gazing in Outertale, laughing and naming different stars. Tears threatened to fall as Ink smiled and laughed lightly as the image formed, and the memories danced. Soon, the page was blank once more, but a few words remained. "When you wish to look upon the past, look in front of you, and remember yourself for who you are, and who you wish to become." (Terrible quote i know but it just popped into my head) Ink lowered the paper onto the table and stood up. Error had a face of worry as Ink walked over, with a lifeless expression. But as soon as Ink reached the skeleton, his eyes lit up and tears fell, he laughed and smiled, and leaned down to kiss his beloved. Error stood up and pulled him into a hug while kissing him. Other noticed and started to clap and cheer, not knowing what was going on entirely, but enough to know that it was a special moment. Error pecked Ink and whispered, "I love you...so much." Ink hugged him tightly and said "I love more than I can probably remember." That made Error chuckle but he knew what Ink ment.
(Time skip)
Error layed Ink down on the bed and covered him with the blanket. He began to walk away but felt a hand grab his own. "Don't leave. Please?" He turned to see Ink wide eyed. Error crawled into bed next to Ink and wrapped his arms around him. His kissed Ink on the forehead before they drifted to sleep.
