TRAPPED

Sunrise and sunsets
Beautiful sparkling morning dew
Flowers and grasses so alive
Yet in me all feels dead

Fields of green
So fresh like spring
I wanna see, I wanna reach
But the farther I go, the farther I get

The sun sets across the horizon
But Jere I am trapped in my dungeon
Beauty and elegance surround me
But shut behind walls is where I'm meant to be

All is perfect yet imperfect
All very near but yet so far
With my hands the wals were built
With my keys the gates were shut

Now I want to get out
Now I want to explore
If only I didn't mistake it for darkness
If only I had waited for the sun to rise

But I turned at the sight of darkness
And now I'm trapped forever
Away from freedom
Trapped in this provincial life
