AN: so hi everyone! I'm not the biggest stan of Gavin and RK900 (I'm calling him Richard here) but I'm really interested in the possible story lines and outcomes as well as the character development. There will not be much (if any) smut in this, it's mainly just a story on the development of their relationship <3

Detective Reed sat hunched over his desk, sipping away at his lukewarm coffee. He gripped the fluorescent blue mug with a sour expression, Hank thought it'd be funny to spice up his desk a bit, gifting him a mug which stood out among the black and white colours painting Gavin's workspace.

"Detective Reed? Can you come to my office for a word?"
Captain Fowler stuck his head out from his office door, Gavin snickered at the gesture as the door was see-through anyway. He grumbled softly and made his way to Fowler's office.

"What's the matter captain?" Gavin asked, crossing his arms over his chest in a relaxed stature.
"As you know, since their acceptance, Android crimes have increased dramatically. But due to their lack of-" Fowler seemed to examine his hand before he continued
"-fingerprints, it's become much harder to find the culprits behind them."

Gavin raised a brow in thought, resting his weight in one hip.
"And what's your proposal?" Gavin asked.

"I'm gonna have to assign you an Android, just for the mean time"

Gavin's posture tensed and his jaw clenched with an unhealthy amount of pressure. Captain Fowler, sensing his disturbance continued,

"The RK900 is the most qualified for this job than any other human! It can track Android prints, use humanlike logic-"

"Then why don't you let it go off and do it's own work? You know these things can go deviant! I mean,-" Gavin looked out the clear walls and gestured to Connor who was in mid-disturbance of Hank "look at Connor! He went deviant and changed sides completely! How do I know my Android isn't gonna do the same?"

Fowler huffed as he observed Gavin's increasingly red face. "That's why I picked you, you hate these things with a passion, you wouldn't do anything to make it go deviant"

"If all androids have 'souls' now, why will I have a tincan as my partner?"
Gavin growled his fist clenched against his black jeans.

"Deviants have a bias, this one will not. It'll be accurate, efficient and the fact that it doesn't have emotions will stop it from becoming...-" Fowler also tilted his head to view Connor, sitting across from Hank doing most of the talking. "-Connor"

"Good morning Captain Fowler, Detective Reed, I hope I am not interrupting anything?"
Gavin turned his head slowly, a voice almost identical to Connor's greeted him in the most monotone tone he'd ever heard. He furrowed his brows in frustration and his lips curled into a menacing line. He observed the Android for a second. Icy blue eyes instead of brown, accompanied by soft chocolate hair coating the top of its head. There was a noticeable height difference between the two, which made it all the more intimidating.

Without saying a word, Gavin pushed past RK900 aggressively, making it stumble back a little bit. He noticed as its LED flashed red for a split second as it followed him to his desk. This was going to be fun.
