It was Friday, 7:49, I heard a heavy footstep closing in before the door to my office was pushed open just after I got in. 

"Good morning, sunshine. I figure you'll arrive early." Terry, the leader of Product development came with two cups of coffee--or maybe tea--in both of his hands. He put one of them on my desk. 

"I made it to your taste." 

I smiled. "Thanks, Ter." I took the cup in my hand, and indulge the warmth before taking a sip. My cold body made it clear the hot liquid is making it's way towards my empty stomach. He's right, I love it. 

"Okay, B. Here, my progress with the 1blink seeing eye is going to be finished soon, and I just need a volunteer to try it, would you mind?" He carefully asked.

"You know, as HRD, having 1blink could really be an advantage to you. You'll be provided with all the data and history about the person you're looking at the moment, you'll learn about everything in their life in less then 10 seconds, it's going to be easier working here." 

I scoffed, rumors made me trust this guy a bit less.

"I overheard the manager yesterday, it's hard to find an honest interview these days, they were considering to cut all the HRD and change it to machines." 

"What?" My heart dropped, I can't be jobless. Not now. 

"Take it, B, I'm trying to help you. If you take it you'll be the last HRD in 1touch, your profit will be doubled, tripled maybe." 

I sighed, thinking. My body doesn't feel so good, maybe I should find something in the clinic, my eyes feels dry. 

"Something in your eyes?" 

I realize I was rubbing my eyes when I look up and see Terry. His figure is blurry. 

"Sorry B, 1blink program is already in your body. You have no choice but to put the lens on next Monday." 

"Wh... what happened?" I hissed, the room is spinning. 

"The program wasn't finished yet, but the board wouldn't approve without a human trial. So, thank you B, you'll be my program biggest asset and the only HRD in 1touch."

Don't worry she didn't die, Beatrice is currently on the second floor in our office, as a robot that scan everyone when they're coming in. Our one and only HRD. 

Along with Casey on the first floor as the lobby touch screen. 

And Jeremy, making announcement every 12 PM.
