Well this mission isn't as simple as I would've thought, there's a lot of undercover work. The Iranians have been prosecuting tons of civilians and I have to come down to the conclusion of this messenger. Supposably Abdul Azim is hiding in a fort in the mountains. I needed to become a desperate civilian, meaning my life was seriously in danger. Especially being a woman... Franky isn't going to like this but, I don't plan on telling her; I would have disciplinary action held against me. Also, I'm too committed to my family to just let them down like that.

Thinking of Franky, I need to write her another letter since I'm in this house in Iraq undergoing the civilian lifestyle before I go out and fulfill my duties. One more time before I go home and see her, "Here we go Azalea..." Didn't you tell yourself you need to stop talking to yourself... I guess that's what the military does to you.

Dear Franky... My love,

Franky, Franky, Franky... It's July 14th, 2007. My heart is all yours, to answer your question, yes... I am doing all right. It's just this is my last letter to you until I get back from my mission. But, you're not going to like my mission which I can not tell you about. It would be going against military rules, as you probably know. I hate not being able to call you, or hear your voice. Just remember the moon, anywhere I am, we see the same moon.

With our family, oh my goodness yes! Yes, I would love to start a family, it would be terrific! Adoption... sounds good, lets just try to work with the sperm donor first. I want our family to be natural, I mean it would be only that I didn't feel the baby kicking or go through all the months of carrying it. I think you get the gist of that, or what I'm trying to say. Now, as my body goes, yes we should wait at least two months. Don't you think we should get married and have everything done the right way. Let's do that first. We can support all our wants and needs along with a family. So lets have fun with our free time more.

Franky, this is so hard for me... to be away from you. This KILLS me. But, it's my duty to serve my country and we need to get all this under control so that I can live a normal life. No more leaving and coming home. I don't know how long this mission will take, hopefully with my brains... haha that made me laugh, we get done with this easily. I have a partner working with me too. But baby, you have to understand my love for you. Its unconditional, I can't say I'm dependent on you because I make my own money and I have my own apartment but, I love being able to come to you and talk, along with being lovey dovey. You're my soulmate. I believe we will be one, we will be whole. Another thing, we're not a joke, we work things out when we have a disagreement. Even though your looks make me feel all tingly inside and make me want to jump on you and give you kisses which I do anyways. Haha, I'm too cute.

Don't forget about me, keep reading my letters, I'm sorry this couldn't be longer but you know me I fall asleep easily and its 3 A.M. here. Please wait for me.

Your Love,

Azalea Adams

PS. I love you with all my heart.

My eyes keep rolling back in my head, great the door, someone's knocking on it. Walking over to the walk-in of the nice old apartment, I opened it. "Hello, how may I help you..." I kept the door slightly cracked. "It's General Thomas, let me in." So this is what undercover looks like. General Thomas had a baseball cap on and he looked like a tourist. Short black hair, surfer sunglasses and had a wicked tan. I escorted him to the front room where there was no T.V. just a couch that had a raggedy cover, along with paintings of Muslim pictures all over the walls. He sat down while I stood.

"Are you ready for tomorrow Marine?" General Thomas asked. My response was bore upright, "Yes and no."

"Why no?" He looked puzzled, "You're one of our best soldiers, we need your head to be on straight." I looked down at my feet now, "Yes, I understand that General but what if this doesn't end all smoothly, what if they find out I'm undercover."

"They shouldn't, you'll be dressed appropriately and your tan makes you look like one of the women, only you don't smell like one." He chuckled at his own joke, which made me think positive. "Alright soldier, get some rest. Be at the Embassy at 10 A.M. for your new 'look.'"

We saluted and I led him to the door, as he walked out he looked to the left then right then left again on the front porch, "It's just for precautions." He said as he looked back and emerged out the doorway completely. I shut the door and then turned around to lean up against it. I bent down with my knees in my arms as the tears began to flow out, "Stand up Azalea damn." I walked over to the couch, laying my pistol under the long piece of furniture I made as my bed that night and fell right asleep.
