General Washington was giving orders, "Get me a helicopter pronto! We need to find her! She has to be here somewhere!" They made their way around the headquarters, one of the soldiers found the hidden doorway on the floor, they unlatched it and headed down the stairs. The colleague had escaped while Jack was lying on the floor decapitated and blood was spewing out of my body. "GENERAL DOWN HERE!" the soldiers words were quite clear. General Washington climbed down the steps and lowered his body but spoke fast, "Get the damn helicopter on the ground NOW! Put pressure on her neck and get those fucking chains off of her." He began to choke up, "Soldier remove your uniform and cover her with your jacket." He had to turn around and remove the tears from his eyes.
The helicopter arrived and they bagged Jack up and carried me gently out of the bed and through the window that I had been looking at for weeks. They lifted me up on a stretcher and were on their way to the military hospital. "General Washington sir, what do we do now." A soldier came to him standing up right and waiting for orders. He took a deep breath, breathed out and said, "Bag the bodies, get identifications and get them back to the base. Our mission is done now." As he began walking away the soldier remarked, "Sir, we got her in safe hands now..." General Washington interrupted, "Yes soldier but, she almost died." Thats when General Washington turned back around bent down and began to sob.
At the hospital they were treating me with stitches, antibiotics, fluids, catheter so I was able to urine, a feeding tube into my abdomen and I had multiple surgeries. I woke up two days later, they believed I was in a coma which in reality I just blacked out from all the pressure and blood loss. I went to go sit up but, the pain had immediately taken over my body. The IV in my hand didn't help from the burning, I don't think it is supposed to burn. "Where am I?" A nurse quickly walked in hearing the beeping from my heart monitor that is was basically over flowing and I needed to relax, she reassured me. "Where's Franky..." General Washington walked in looking tired like he's been watching over me or something. "Soldier, Azalea sweetheart," the dad in him never got old, "I just got off the phone with Franky... She's relieved. She's been worried sick about you, we all have." He began to tear up, "Now, Azalea I am sorry for what happened, you are now off of duty and will be under protective services along with Franky." I started to cry from the sight of him, not seeing, hearing and or being able to hug General Washington.. He made me feel like I was safe again. "You have stitches on your neck, on all your newly fresh wounds and you have gauzes on everything else. They're treating you the best they can here, you've been having CAT scans from the bruises on your brain and also x-rays for all your bones. Other than that, you've been healing just fine." I reached for my hair and I forgot it was all cut off, which made me cry even more.
All I could do was wait, wait for Franky to arrive if she ever was. Every thought I consumed, made my head spin with worry... I don't know how Franky is going to react to me. I have tubes shoved into my body from every which direction, I am anorexic, my long tight curls are gone and my eyes are sunken in. I am not going to be able to carry a baby for months maybe even years, it all depends on what the doctors inquire to me. Let me just go back to sleep and wait for Franky to arrive, while General Washington is asleep in the chair across my bed...
