Difficult love (Jacksucksatlife x Kai Ross-Best)

Chapter Six

Jack's POV:

After dinner I cleaned up, the group did not eat dinner together. Most of them would come in at different times and eat the pancakes I made. While I was cleaninig up the kitchen I heard Wilbur and the boss talking in the hallway. 'Why are you doing this Kai, this isn't a smart idea.' I heard Wilbur say. 'Don't you call me by my name Wilbur.' I heard him say while walking to the front door and leaving the house. I heard Wilbur sigh in the hallway while walking toward the kitchen. I continued the cleaning and tried to act like I didn't hear the conversation. The boss his name was Kai, it fit him so much. 'Hey Jack.' I heard Wilbur say while he walked into the kitchen. 'Hey Wilbur.' I replied while giving him a small smile. 

'Jack you should come to the party tonight.' Doni told me while we were sitting in the kicthen. 'A party?' I said with a confused look on my face. 'Oh you should totally come Jack, that would be so much fun.' Becky said while she sat down next to me at the table. 'I don't think the boss will like it if Jack comes to that party Doni.' Wilbur said while giving him an angry look. 'Boss won't even know he went Wilbur, he'll be too busy with other things.' Doni said and he leaned back in the kitchen chair. 'Come we'll get you a nice suit for tonight.' Becky said excitedly while standing up and grabbing my hand. Becky pulled me towards my room and walked into the walk-in closet while Doni followed us. Becky chose a navy blue Tuxedo with a black bow tie. 'This would look awesome on you!' She said while holding it in front of me. 

A few hours later we were all ready to leave. Together with Wilbur, Doni and Becky I walked towards a car and stepped in. I haven't been outside since they put me in this house, the outside air was nice. Wilbur said that if Kai would notice me at the party I would have a big problem, so I should try to be as invisible as possible. Doni went with me to the bar while Becky went straight to the dancefloor. The woman behind the bar looked at my and smiled. 'Hello I've never seen you before, can I get you a drink?' Doni answered for me and also asked for a drink himself. The woman behind the bar and Doni seemed to already know each other. 'Boss probably won't come, if he isn't here yet.' Doni told me while taking a sip from his drink. I nodded and looked at the dancefloor. I noticed Becky walking towards me. 'Come dance Jack.' She said while grabbing my arm and pulling me towards the dance floor. I thought this party would be more formal, since it was held in a giant ballroom. After dancing for a while I walked back to the bar and talked with Doni for a bit. 'Dont look behind you Jack, boss just walked in.' Doni suddenly told me while we were talking. 

The whole room went silent when Kai walked in. I focussed on my drink and tried not to act suspicious. People started to dance and talk again. 'What is he doing here Doni?' I suddenly heard an angry voice say behind me. 'Oh.. hey boss.' I heard Doni laugh awkwardly, he knew he was in trouble. 'It's way to dangerous for him to be here, they will try to use him to get to me, don't you realise that?' He whispered while grabbed Dony by his collar. 'I'm sorry boss, I'll stay with him to make sure nothing happends alright?' Doni said while nodding towards me. Kai nodded and walked away from us into the crowd. 'Well that went better than expected.' He said relieved while taking a sip of his drink. I looked at him with a confused look on my face, but decided not to question the things he said. 'Hey Doni! Come dance with me!' I suddenly heard a very excited girl say. 'I really can't dance right now, I need to look after him.' Doni said and pointed towards me. 'Ohh come on Doni! He can survive on his own.' She said and grabbed his hand. The girl pulled Doni away into the crowd an he gave me a apologetic look.

After Doni left I decided to not stay at the bar but go outside for a bit. There was an option I could get away from here without anyone noticing. I walked towards a door which led to a very large garden. While walking through the garden I heard someone walk behind me. 'Hello boy, what are you doing here all alone?' A woman said while giving me a friendly smile. She was wearing a red mermaid dress with a split. Her hair was tied up and she looked around the age of 25. 'I'm just getting away from the crowd for a bit.' I answered her with a small smile. 'Oh you're so naive, why would Kai keep you?' She said while walking around me, she was checking me out. Suddenly a man came out of nowhere and grabbed, I couldn't get out of his grip. 'Take him to the car.' The girl said while laughing and walking back towards the mansion. I tried to get out of his grip by moving. 'Help! Doni, Wilbur, anyone?!' I screamed while the guy dragged me further into the garden. 'Shut up you little scumbag.' The man said while he slapped me in the face. 

I felt my cheek burn after that hit and couldn't get my lips to move anymore. I suddenly felt the guys grip loosen and he walked away from me. 'P.. please have mercy on me.' He whispered while looking at someone behind me. Then I saw Kai walking past me, he walked towards the guy and punched him in his face. The guy fell to the ground and was knocked out. Kai turned around and walked towards me. He grabbed my chin and looked at my cheek which was still burning from the guy slapping me. 'Are you okay?' He asked me with a soft tone in his voice. I have never heard him this nice before. 'Y- Yeah.. I'll be fine.' I said while giving him a small smile. He nodded and let go of my chin. 'I'll drive you back to the mansion, come.' He told me while gesturing me to follow him. 

While we were in the car Kai didn't say much. I don't think he even knows that I know his name. 'Things like this better not happen again, I told you it was too dangerous.' He said while sighing. He didn't really seem to be that angry with me at all. 'I am sorry.' I said silently while looking outside the window. We both were silent for the rest of the ride. When we walked into the mansion he stood still and looked at me. 'Come to my office tomorrow.' He said and continued walking up the staircase, probably towards his office or bedroom.
