Gun's POV
I stood frozen, unable to believe that Mark would actually go to the length of kissing me in front of the fans and the cameras.
He had given fan service to the extreme.
He had taken fan service to the next level.
I tried not to wipe my lips because he had given me a moist kiss. I was thinking that since he had shielded my face with his hands, there was a chance that the cameras and the fans had not seen an actual kiss, so I was going to pretend that it did not happen. If I wiped my lips, it would confirm to the fans that he had given me an actual kiss.
I was again going to leave the stage, when suddenly I heard the emcee calling me again.
"Mr. Gunnapat! Don't leave the stage yet! You have one more fan who has just arrived and has dropped a donation for your hug!"
I turned around.
"Linda!"
Mark's POV
I found myself clinging to P'Title's arm.
I had forgotten all about P'Gun's childhood sweetheart.
Had he told her to come to this event or did she come of her own accord? To surprise him perhaps?
My hold on P'Title's arms tightened as I watched her go slowly up the stage.
The happy and welcoming smile on P'Gun's face broke my heart into a million irretrievable pieces.
I compared his previous horrified face when he saw me walking up the stage to get a hug from him to his current smiling, loving face to Linda, just to add salt to my wound.
"Are you alright?" My thoughts were interrupted by P'Title's question.
"Ye...yes, I'm okay," I lied, averting my face from him so that he could not see the moistness in my eyes.
I would have wanted not to watch but somehow my eyes were glued to the stage as Linda placed her arms around P'Gun and pressed her chest against his chest.
I saw her tiptoe to whisper something to his ear. To say "I love you" maybe?
I could not watch any longer.
I let go of P'Title's arm and started to walk away.
I vaguely heard P'Title calling after me but I kept walking without turning around.
"Mark!"
I stopped in my tracks. That wasn't P'Title's voice.
I looked back. P'Gun was walking towards me.
I broke into a run.
"Mark, stop!" he called out, starting to run himself.
I ran faster. P'Gun ran faster himself.
Shit, he was gaining on me because his legs were longer than mine.
"Mark! Stop running!"
I looked around wildly for a place to duck into so he wouldn't see me anymore.
I saw a jewelry store with its doors open to welcome customers in.
I ran inside just as I felt my wrist getting grabbed by P'Gun.
And right there in front of all the customers and the salespersons, he pulled me up close to him, placed his hand to the back of my neck, lowered his face to mine, and kissed me.
He let go of me after everybody in the store started to whistle and to clap their hands and cheered us on.
A saleslady approached us to ask if we were interested in purchasing a couple ring.
