Where Have You Been?

Chapter 8- Secrets

"Oh boy." 

I looked at the girls who were fuming at this point. "Um, hi ladies." 

"Hey, Delilah, so when were you going to tell us about Tom?" Tiffany asked. Her face was unreadable mask and I looked at Suzy. She looked like she could kill me and throw my body back at Tom.

"Why are you hiding him?" Suzy asked. 

I sighed and looked over at the pictures of me and Tom on my open laptop. Our text conversations were flooding the screen and my precious snaps I had saved were out in the open.  

"Uh. I uh." I broke off. I fumbled to get around them and turn my laptop around so it was facing me. It was all there. Me and Tom discussing when to meet. How he looked good, how I looked beautiful. Saying I can't wait to meet you. Can't wait to kiss you. "I-I-I..." 

"So you weren't going to tell us?" Tiffany looked sad. Her eyes dropped and she sniffed. 

"First off, how did you get into my computer?" I asked. 

"You left it open for us to play music." Suzy defended.

"Well, I didn't mean for you to see that yet." I sighed and my head dropped into my hands. "Oh dear God please help them to understand." I whispered. "Okay." I lifted my head. "I will tell you guys about Tom." I motioned for them to sit at the counter. They both sat down and I ran my hand tiredly through my hair. 

"If I tell you this, you can not tell a soul." I looked at the two of them seriously. "Not a living breathing soul." I watched them. "Swear." 

"I swear." They replied in unison. 

"Well, I met Tom about 4 months ago. The two of us met through Social Media. You see Tom is Tom Holland, and when he followed me back, he DM'd me, or I guess his friend did." I squinted. Tiffany looked at me in shock and Suzy was ready to take my head off again. "So we started Snapping regularly, we were constantly talking. He and I exchanged numbers and then we started texting  more than I ever thought was possible." 

I smiled. "He and I got really close really fast. And now we are going to try and make it work out." 

"Wait so, you have been secretly seeing him, and you are just now telling us?" Tiffany smile split wider than her normal. "I KNEW IT!" She jumped up. "Pay up Suzy." She held her hand out. 

"What?" I sputtered. 

"Ah, do I have to?" Suzy complained and forked out the cash. 

"Wait what? You guys bet on me?" 

"Uh." They looked at me guiltily. 

I smiled and shook my head. "What am I going to do with you two?" Their bright red faces told me they were getting ready to laugh. 

Tiffany started and then Suzy followed. I smirked. "OK, okay, but you have to promise to not tell a soul." 

"I swear." They both nodded. 

"OK, we just are trying it out. We haven't decided if we announce it or not, I mean heck, we just started dating." 

"Can you please just give us some of the juice?" 

"Fine..." I sighed.
