Hey guys! I'm a new author on here, thank you for taking the time to read my lame attempt at writing!! I would absolutely love it if you guys could give me feedback, it's not edited so there may be a few grammar and spelling mistakes. This story does contain strong language and some mature themes throughout. It's contains abuse, depression and violence. All images used are from google. Some chapters may be shorter than others but anyways enjoy and I hope you like it. Xoxo________________________________
Natalie's POV
A single tear escaped my eye. I look up to the man I once called my father, my eyes laced with pain and sadness. His eyes showed no remorse, anger and pure hatred. He reached his hand out connecting another punch to my jaw. I let out a small yelp. More tears, now flooding down my cheeks. "Please stop. Please!" I begged. He raised his foot and kicked me in the stomach. Pain engulfed me and I stumbled back onto the hard cold floor. My jaw ached, every part of my body ached. But the most pain was coming from my heart. Every hit, every word, felt like he ripped my heart out of my chest and crushed it with his bare hands. "You are a stupid bitch, a nobody, a huge mistake! I never wanted you, you are the reason why your mother died and I hope you die!" he screeched at me, his spit spraying over my face as he leant into me. I could smell the alcohol on his breath. Wincing I grabbed my stomach. "I-I'm sorry" I stumbled over my words terrified for my life. "Dumb slag!" he yelled as he released one final hit to my face. I completely collapsed on to the ground my face now covered by my messy curly hair. My breathing unsteady as I kept my eyes tightly shut until I heard my father's footsteps disappear into the distance.
I waited to hear the front door slam before I pulled myself up. I walked to the kitchen to find a first aid box. The kitchen was a mess, covered in filth and out of date food. I reached up to one of the cupboards and pulled out a green box. I applied some ointment whist flinching at the sharp pain. My head was throbbing as I chucked back some pain killer medication.
Me and my dad had only just moved into this old rusty house as he lost our house to a bet he made with some bad people. We have just arrived in this new town two days ago and he has already started hurting me again. He started to say mean things to me when my mum died, it very quickly turned violent. I've learnt now to accepted it and just pick myself up. I have to start a new school tomorrow where I plan to keep my head down and talk to no one. If no one pisses me off. High school can be tough, but it is an escape from my home life. I needed it like I need oxygen to breathe.

Natalie's POV
I groan as my alarm goes off, flinching as I swing my arm round to turn it off. Flash backs from last night remain deep in my mind and burned into my heart. I reach for more pain killers and gulp them down quickly. I glance in my bedroom mirror and my eyes widen at my swollen and bruised face. "shit" I mumbled to myself. How the hell am I going to cover this up?
I tie half of my brunette curly hair up to tame it and create a half up, half down look. A few loose curls falling into my face. I grab my concealer and start to cover up the bruises, making sure to layer foundation and powder on top for extra coverage. I finish off my make-up look by adding a matte red lipstick to my lips and black winged eye liner to make my light blue eyes stand out. I slip into a black strap top with buttons ensuring it covers up my bruised stomach, with baggy light blue ripped jeans. I then placed on some high heel black boots. I wanted to dress confident to make myself feel confident. To cover up how worthless and alone I felt.
