Starguardians

Part 1

Lux put her bento box on her desk and turned around. Behind her she saw the two little girls eating their lunch. Normally they weren't in her class but for lunch Lulu and Poppy always joined her and Janna in the classroom of the higher grades. And actually also Jinx. But she was gone. Since three days in a row now. "What is it?" asked Poppy, looked up from her lunch and was apparently annoyed from the interruption. "Uhm...do you know where Jinx is?" "She didn't come home yesterday. The day before neither. Or the day before tha-" "Okay, okay I got it." Lux turned back to her desk again and leaned over her bento. Reaching for her waterbottle she got interrupted by a warm, adult voice "She is gone because she feels their presence." Confused and still hungry she looked to her left. Purple hair shimmers in the sun and looks as beautiful and elegant as the rest of the tall girl. Janna never said much. "What do you mean 'She feels their presence'? Who are 'they'?" asked the pink haired girl with a jealous look at Jannas bento. It was a constellation of rice, vegetables and little cute sausages in form of octopuses perfectly put together. "The strong magic of the unknown." Lux blinked irritated and just opened her mouth to ask again when suddenly a loud sound from above stopped her. From now everything went fast, loud and irritating. Students ran through the corridors, teachers shout instructions after them and tried to keep them from running. Without success. "What was that?" asked Poppy. "I'm scared..." Lulu crawled over the table to Lux and hid between her and Janna. A teacher went into the classroom. He tried to act cool but everyone could see that he was shocked and scared. "Please leave the school calm." "What is going on? What happend?" asked Lux. "An explosion on the roof. We don't know from whom...or from what. Now go outside and wait there!" Lux took Lulus hand and pushed Poppy out of the door. Followed by Janna and the other stuents they ran to the stairs. When they reached them Lux already turned downstairs but someone stopped her. Poppy pulled her followed by a scream of Lulu sho automtically got pulled back as well. "Wait a second. What if this is something for us? A situation we could handle..." the little blue haired girl looked around and whispered "...with our powers?" "Youre right I guess. Were supposed to help people who need it." Lux tried to ponder the best solution while Lulus eyes got bigger and bigger "You two don't really think about going on the roof...do you?" Without another word Poppy suddenly started running upstairs. The others followed while screaming her name but the girl didn't stop until she kicked the door to the roof open. Dust. Lots of dust. Two people standing in front of each other. In the middle lays another person on the ground. A corpse? No. He moved. Right in front of them was a red glimming shadow. It was Jinx, transformed. "Ji-!!" Poppy stopped. She couldn't know who was listening so instead she yelled "Red Star!" Jinx turned her head and now Poppy could see the scratch on her cheek. "She's fighting!" Poppy shoutet down the stairs. "Who?" asked Lux back but Poppy didn't need to answer because her pink haired friend just arrived next to her. Suddenly a orange glowing stone shaped like a star appeared out of the chest of the person on the ground. "A star gem!" said Janna. "In a human? But I thought they are the source of our Star Guardian powers." Lux looked irritated to the stone. "Star gems...or spirit stones however you want to call them are hid in the bodys of humans until a new born starguardian needs them. Then the star gem will be given to its new guardian." "So youre saying this gem contains the power of a full Star Guardian?" Lux stared at the orange light. "Yes. I bet Jinx felt the power of the gem. Some Guardians are able to feel spirits when new Star Guardians arrive." "Wait. New Guradians?" asked Lux irritated. "I thought the person there was just a vessel to hide the gem." "He is Lux. I'm talking about this gem. It awoke. Like the five other gems three days ago. But enough! We have no time!" Meanwhile the gem floated completely free over the body in the air. "What are we waiting for?!" shouted Poppy and closed the door behind the group. She shove up her sleeve so she could see the bracelet on her arm, which had a blue star gem on it. She tapped on it twice and it began to shine. "I am Poppy the chosen one..." she shouted "...and I pray for the power of the blue star! Courage and strength may be my companions!" Blue light appeared around her and she began to transform. The others looked at her and nodded. "I am Lux the chosen one and I pray for the power of the pink star! Light and hope may be my companions!" her necklace lightened up pink. "I am Lulu the chosen one and I pray for the power of the green star! Trust and tricks may be my companions!" The little gem on her belt started to fill the air around her with green light. "I am Janna the chosen one and I pray for the power of the purple star! Knowledge and force may be my companions!" Purple light came out of the gem on her right earring. The roof was filled with colorful light until all four girls finally were transformed. “Demacia!” the shout echoed through half the town followed by a bright, pink lightning. Lux landed after her attack on the ground and instantly started running towards the two shadows in front of Jinx. But they didn’t lay on the ground like she expected. “They have the gem! It was able to stop your attack!” shouted Poppy and swung her hammer “My time to shine!” Suddenly a blue lightning flashed down on the person hand and hit it. Poppy stopped. “How…did u do that?” asked Jinx, who was finally talking. But as answer he just got a irritated look from Poppy “That wasn’t me.” “It came from up there!” said Lulu and pointed at the sky where they could see a blue and a pink figure. The pink one now dashed down on the roof and was as fast gone as she appered. "Where…where is she?" Lux was confused. "Dunno but she took the damn gem." “Red calm down. Let’s think first and shoot then.” said Lux and gave Jinx a calm look. “But this blue thief is still there. So why dunt we just go get him?!” the red haired Guardian looked back at the sky, just fast enough to see the blue person flying away. “What are ya jerks waitin for?! He’s gettin away!” she yelled at the others. “Red we…I just…” Jinx gave Lux an angry look. "Pathetic." she nearly spit the word towards her teammate. A jump in the air and she flew away towards the roofs between which the blue person disappeared. The red dust she leaved behind like a one colored rainbow mixed with the air and soon wasn’t visible anymore. “Should we let her go alone?” asked Lulu and turned to Lux. But she wasn't listening. "Great they're gone too." The three other girls looked irritated towards Lux. "The guy who tried to steal the gem and the human he took with him..." The "Oooooh..." signalized that the three remembered now. "We’re looking for them. They can’t be just…gone…" said Lulu. "Okay. Lulu you go with me" said Lux trying not to freak out. "And you two" she pointed at Janna and Poppy "follow Jinx. Maybe she needs help." The two Guardians nodded and flew in the direction Jinx disappeared to. After a while they saw the red dust again. It was a bit above them in the air. With a wind blast of Janna they flew faster and reached Jinx. “Red! You’ve got assistance!” shouted Poppy and grinned. The red girl turned around and grinned back when she saw her mates. "I think he’s not alone. Remember the pink lightning, that stole the star gem?" she said and Poppy looked interested "So you think that was another person?" "Yes. Also a few minutes ago I saw a line of red dust behind a house and it wasn’t mine.” The blue line made a bend down and the girls followed. “Means we have to be-” a dark, purple ball interrupted Janna. It hit her side and suddenly she started falling. “...careful?” ended Jinx her sentence and gave Poppy a quick hand sign that she should stay. Poppy nodded and with a big red dust cloud Jinx dashed down to Janna, grabbed her arm and swung the girl on her back. “Got her!” she shouted and looked back to the Blue Star. Her victorious smile disappeared. Poppy was under attack. A purple woman with  an eye patch was in front of her. The Red Star was sure that it was the one that attcked Janna. Poppy swung her hammer several times and let it go. The giant weapon flew around her the woman, who gave it a sceptic look. But before she knew what Poppy actually aimed at the hammer already hit the red woman behind her, that instantly got kicked away. “Poppy! Im comin!” Jinx looked at Janna “Damn it. Where are the others?” The red girl was gone and Jinx heard a familiar voice “Shining light!” The purple woman look up a second before she got hit by the light. Lux flew near "Everyone alright?" she asked. Jinx simply raised an eyebrow and quickly nodded towards the knocked out Guardian she was carrying. Lux dashed towards them "What is with her? Is she alright? I mean…" "I know. Yea she’s alive." Jinx handed Janna over to the Pink Star and said “Kuro. Come here!” Her star gem began to shine and her little black pet popped out. Kuro looked like a black little ball with one wing on the right side. He has dark pink eyes and two little ears that fade into pink as well. The little creature made some weird noises Jinx petted it. She turned to Lux, grinned cheeky and said “Waitin for ya upstairs, Star.” Then she finally dashed up to Poppy. Flying closer Jinx saw that her partner was floathing in front of a blue shining girl. It took her some seconds to realize that the person was actually a boy and then finally she recognized him. It was the blue guy she followed. Why did he came back? Didn't matter. It was his own fault. Poppy had no chance to stop Jinx becaus she had already thrown her grenade at him. The boy dodged it with some kind of teleport, but Jinx instantly shot a rocket at him. He tried to dodge by flying to the side but lost balance. The boy fell for five seconds, when he finally flew again he quickly shaked his head and gave Jinx an angry look. “Watch out!” that was Lulu. But before Jinx could even wonder where the Green Star suddendly appeared from the three purple balls already reached her. A second before they hit the girl Poppy hammered them down. Obviously the lighting of Lux haden't fully knock out the purple woman. But for their own good she would have better not attacked the Guardians because now the balls flew directly at the blue boy. He teleported to the side but it seemed like his powers were weak because this time the teleport didnt even reach one meter. The balls crashed into him and he started to fall. "See what happns when ya try to fight us huh?" Jinx laughed and earned an angry look from Luy. "What?" she asked and pointed at the boy "Those are the bad guys!" "...Jinx." The red haired girl rolled her eyes and disappeared in a big red dust cloud. Some seconds later she came back, carrying the boy at his belt. "Well…couldbe friendlier but...good enough." said Poppy. "We should leave." said Jinx. "What? Why are you that serious all of a sudden?" Jinx looked around them. Noone was there except for the purple lady lying on one of the roofs. "We've got one of their teammates. I doubt they will be too happy about that." "We saved him." said Lux emphasizing the word "saved". "So?" "What if they thank us and we can talk to them?" "Are you kidding me?" Jinxs voice got angry "How can you always be that positive about everything?!" "Why are you negative all the time?" The two girls stared at each other. "I'm leaving." was the last thing Jinx said before she turned around and flew away.
