***Cass's POV***
The next few weeks were spent learning how to control shifting to and from my wolf. Normally, wolves don't need much to learn to shift at will. Unfortunately, most wolves were born and not made. Drake's father told me it was because made wolves don't have those natural instincts like those who are born like this.
I also have to learn to keep my hands to myself when I'm around Drake. His mom came and saw me a few days ago about that, actually. She told me it's perfectly normal and that, even though she's a Natural, it was the same way when she first met Ray. The only thing they could do was stay inside and away from everyone. The raging hormones are to make sure Weres keep the population going.
Today, though, was more important than my own cravings. Today, Ray is giving the Alpha title over to Drake. Today, Drake his claiming me as his mate and Luna in front of the whole pack. I'm scared, shitless.
Ana, Drake's mother, helps me into a simple floor-length violet gown. she let my hair flow down my back in soft curls and gave my face only a softer touch of make-up. Everything was ready.
I look down at my left hand to see the beautiful rose gold wedding band. Drake proposed a week ago and we had a quick courthouse wedding, a few days after that. Nothing wrong with being done waiting. I smile at the thought of calling Drake my husband, for the rest of our lives.
Suddenly, my stomach flutters, causing me to remember what I'm supposed to do. I follow Ana down the hall towards the back door. The whole pack waiting for us. All I can see is Drake smiling back at me.
When I reach him we clasp hands and kneel in front of his father and mother. They remove their crown and place them on our heads.
"With this crown, we now announce the new Alpha and Luna." They state, loud enou np;w'@!W@W1gxS'D ]Oa A' gh for all to hear. "Rise."
We stand, hands still holding the other, and turn to see each wolf kneel for us.
Drake raises our hands and shouts, "Shift!"
Everyone starts to shift but as I focus on letting my wolf take over, everything suddenly stops with one sound. All heads turn to me with wide eyes, shocked expressions, and even a few smiles. A sound so small and weak that no one could hear until n.
