Weeks passed by and that strange dream wouldn't stop happening, it was the same thing over an over, he walked through the woods, saw a figure, he couldn't see his face, and then he woke up, it was strange and Jimin honestly had no explanation.
After his thoughts trailed of one day, it occurred to him those dreams started the day he tried to contact some kind of spirit or whatever, but that must be a coincidence right? Jimin knew none of that supernatural stuff was real.
But Jimin only started to doubt himself more and more. It had gotten to the point now, where Jimin would be walking to work, or sat at home and in the corner of his eye, he would see the silhouette of a figure, specifically the one from his dream, but when he turned his head, there was nothing there.
One night, Jimin was sat on the sofa, reading a book that he'd found that day, after thinking it had gone missing. Out of nowhere, he heard a whisper in his left ear, he couldn't make out words, but the sound sent a shiver down his spine, causing goosebumps all along his arms. That was the final straw for Jimin, and as he let out a long sigh, he mumbled to himself.
"Maybe... supernatural beings are real?"
Though he quickly shoved off the thought and went back to reading.
Jimin soon finished his book, and looked at the clock on his wall, seeing it was quite late, he stood up and put the book back on the bookshelf before walking over to his room. Just as he went to open the door he heard a thud from behind him, and walked back into the living room to see the book he was just reading on the floor.
At this point, weird acts like this didn't faze Jimin, who simply picked up the book and placed it back on the shelf, thinking to himself how ironic it was that the book that fell happened to be called 'Demons', probably what was in his house and messing with him all the time.
As usual, the moment Jimin dropped of, the strange dream began again, as if it was a routine at this point, although, this time it was very different.
It was still nighttime, but the leaves weren't blocking the moonlight, making the forest much lighter, somehow creating a calm atmosphere. Jimin felt much more at ease than he usually did. The trees, rather than seeming tall and crooked, were much prettier and full of beautiful flowers.
Then, Jimin came to the opening where the figure was, and like everywhere else, the whole place seemed much lighter and calmer. Jimin approached the man as usual, but this time, he saw his face. Shocked, Jimin stared at the mans face intently, hoping he could fully admire his features before he woke up.
The man had pale skin, paler than most humans, and his eyes were a bold red colour, standing out against his skin, and they were a beautiful, cat like shape. The man had a stern, yet gentle expression on his face, but said nothing, just looked into Jimins eyes as Jimin looked back, captivated by his gaze, to fascinated to tear his eyes away.
And then, Jimin woke up, he looked outside to see the sun was only just rising, meaning it was probably about 6am. Suddenly, Jimin felt weird, he felt as if he was being watched.
His head whipped around to his bedroom door where he saw a man, leaning against the door frame with his arms folded. It was the man from his dream.
"What the... how are you... how are you here? You were in my dream... who are you?" Jimin asked, clearly panicked and very confused about what was going on.
"Too many questions. Chill. I'm not going to hurt you or anything, in fact, it's my job to do the opposite" the man responded bluntly, as if what he was saying was obvious.
"What are you?" Jimin asked, sitting up in his bed
"A demon. Surely you've heard of them?" the male stated calmly.
Jimin thought for a moment, before catching on to what the Male meant.
"You mean demon as in, like, demons and angles? The ones who protect people? I thought they were just stories my mum made up when I was little" Jimin responded.
Of course he'd heard of demons. When he was younger, his mother would tell him stories of angels and demons, magical entities sent to protect humans.
Angels were assigned to those who were pure hearted people that lead trouble free, happy lives. While demons, were assigned to those who had darker pasts, trouble childhoods, dark secrets, since it was thought they'd have a better connection, they'd understand the humans better than the angels ever could.
Jimin knew he was never set out to get an angel, even from a young age. But he hoped a demon would show up and help him. In his high school years, he convinced himself that it was all nonsense, though he was clearly wrong.
"Yeah, those demons. Well, I'm a half demon. So I look just like a human, with the exception of my eyes, but I have some demon abilities, oh the names Min Yoongi by the way, and don't worry, I already know your name"
Jimin simply nodded in response, still processing everything in his head.
"So... you're here to help me? With what exactly, I'm perfectly fine" Jimin said, folding his arms. Of course, Jimin knew he was lying, but was very independent and hated help from others.
"Isn't it obvious? You're lonely Jimin, it doesn't take some half demon to see that either" Yoongi muttered, folding his arms.
"I'm not lonely, I'm perfectly fine without loads of friends, they're just a waste of time"
"Jimin, you can't lie to me, I can feel it, I know when you lie. Look, I'm not some psychologist, I'm not gunna give you a pep talk and try and get you to make friends ok? Thats what I'm here for, to be a friend. We all need a shoulder to lean on sometimes, even you Jimin"
Jimin let out a sigh, nodding and looking down.
"Yeah, you're right. Sorry, I just... I don't like accepting help sometimes" Jimin responded.
"It's alright, I get it. Besides, lonely doesn't just mean you're lacking friends" Yoongi responded, trailing of towards the end.
"What does that mean?" Jimin asked, a puzzled look on his face.
"It doesn't matter" Yoongi shook his head. "Just go back to sleep, it's still early. I'll wait in the front room for you" Yoongi said, before leaving the room without another word.
Jimin did as he was told and led down, soon dropping off again.
