Jimin was never the type of person who made an effort to make friends. He preferred to be alone, telling himself it was easier, and allowed him avoid all the drama and issues that came with friends.

He did have one close friend though. His best friend, Taehyung, who he's known since they could barely walk, but now, Taehyung had moved to Seoul to attend university, leaving Jimin alone.

On top of that, Jimin has recently moved into a new apartment. He'd just left college and was ready to be independent, live alone, even if it did get lonely sometimes without having Taehyung to visit him.

Jimin had been in his apartment for around two weeks now, and everything was normal. He'd wake up, usually have a shower, go into work if he had a shift, if not he'd take the day to relax, or go to the dance studio nearby to make up some choreo or practice a move.

One thing however, was very strange to Jimin. Some days, he'd come home from work and find the tv remote almost certainly wasn't where he'd left it. Or sometimes he wouldn't be able to find a book he was reading, and it would reappear days later in a spot he'd sure he'd checked. At first, he just put it down to his bad memory, assuming he'd forgotten or misplaced the things himself, but the more it happened, the harder it became to convince himself he was right.

This continued to bother Jimin, and he decided to do some research. He got comfy on the couch with his coffee in one hand, phone in the other, and decided to google if this was a common thing, or if he perhaps just had a terrible memory.

To no surprise, a lot of his search results where click bait YouTube videos of teenage boys "being possessed" and catching "ghosts on recording". Jimin was very sceptical, and didn't believe in any low quality video made by some kids. Although, one article caught his attention. The article had been written by some kind of professional who certainly knew what they were talking about. The article suggested that if you felt something strange was going on in your house, to perform a seance and try to get in contact with whatever was supposedly "haunting" you or your house.

Jimin considering giving it a try, but then, shoved the idea to the side, telling himself that even considering demons or ghosts to be real was completely ridiculous.

Though, strange things only continued to happen, not only did random objects go missing from time to time, but Jimin was almost certain he'd heard footsteps on several occasions. He originally told himself it was the people living above him, though soon that proved to be impossible, as they sounded like they were right beside Jimin.

It didn't take long for Jimin to give in to his curiosity. He got some candles, and everything else he needed, and decided doing a seance wasn't that bad of an idea.

He set everything up, lighting the candles and turned all the lights off in his house. He wasn't really sure what he was doing, but just followed the suggestions in the article he read. He closed his eyes and sat cross-legged on his couch, the candles lit on the coffee table in front of him.

"Uh... is there anyone here? Any spirits? Ghosts? Demons?" Jimin said, waiting silently for any kind of response. He waited for at least a few minutes before trying again.

"Hello? If there's anyone, or anything here, make a noise, give me some kind of sign" Jimin spoke, again getting no response.

But then, something very strange happened. The couch beside Jimin seemed to dip, as if someone had just sat beside him. He felt a rush of cool air over his body as goosebumps appeared.

Not waisting any more time, he opened his eyes and looked beside him, but of course, there was no one there. He probably just imagined it. Deciding this seance stuff was bullshit, he blew out the candles and turned back on the lights.

He walked over to the table and picked up the candles, putting them away before returning to grab the lighter, though noticing it was not on the table where he'd left it. He looked around and soon found it in the floor. He must've knocked it off the table, right?

Jimin let it another sigh before deciding it was quite late, and he should go to bed since he had work early tomorrow.
