Jessica drops the items she has in her hands when she actually recognizes that she's being kissed. She kisses Connor back with the same amount of force. One of his hands move up to her neck while hers are in his hair. He pushes her hip with his one hand while stepping forward, signaling Jessica to move backwards. They run into a wall.
Keeping the same intensity that had when they started kissing, Jessica is moving her hands up his shirt as though she's trying to feel every inch of his built torso. Connor moves his hand back down to her waist, brushing her right breast on his way down and slipping both of his hands under her shirt, grabbing her midriff once again.
Jessica whines when she attempts to lift his shirt over his head and is unsuccessful. Connor takes his hands away from her waist and stops kissing her for a split second to rip off his shirt, Jessica admiring the sight. He immediately pushes her against the wall once again, kissing her. She's being tortured as he drags his hands down her waist, and to her hips. He stops all of his movements.
"Did you hear that?"
"Hear what? We're alone. Kiss me." She doesn't want to stop in the middle of all the action, so she gets back to it and plants a small kiss on his collar bone as he's distracted. She trails them back up his neck, stopping right under his jaw.
"I thought I heard a car door slam, I think your dad is home." Jessica rolls her eyes at his worry and continues to drag her fingernails down his chest lightly, following them with kisses.
"He's working third shift, he's not coming home."
"Well in that case..." Connor doesn't finish what he is saying. He quickly scoops Jessica up by her thighs, she almost goes down, considering she was caught by surprise and didn't grab onto him right away. She laughs about his sudden movements.
"Connor watch out-!" She's cut off.
"Fuck! My toe!"
"-for the step up..." Connor and Jessica fell to the ground. He stubbed his toe but tried to break Jessica's fall at the same time, it wasn't too successful considering they both landed on their sides.
"Maybe that's a sign." Says Connor.
"A sign for what? Your stupidity?" Jessica say jokingly, while laughing.
"No, well yes. But a sign that maybe I shouldn't be kissing you. At least not that hard, fast and intense. Damn that was good." Jessica's face flushes. She's somewhat embarrassed because he said they shouldn't be kissing. Did he not like how I kissed him?
"Yeah, maybe just not that much. I think we might have taken it a bit too far." She agrees, not really wanting to but she knows he's right.
"I mean, I'm laying here shirtless after trying to be smooth by carrying you to bed so yeah, maybe we did go a little too far. I'm sorry, I started it."
"Oh, no. Don't apologize." She looks down. This is just awkward now.
Jessica gets up, smooths her shirt out and walks to her bed, hoping the tension will die down now that they aren't throwing themselves at each other. Connor follows but doesn't sit near her, he sits at the foot of the bed while she sits at the head.
"Why did you come over?"
"I told you, I wanted to see you."
"You saw me yesterday and you're seeing me today..." Jessica is back to being in a bad mood when she realizes that it's now Saturday. She also isn't necessarily mad or sad, she's kind of disappointed, disappointed that Connor stopped, and disappointed in the way he reacted to them stopping the intense kiss.
"I know but I wanted to see you tonight too. I missed you." His tone changes when he speaks.
Jessica takes in a sharp breath, the sound of it being the only noise in the room at that moment. He missed me? Did I miss him? Of course I did, I can't get enough of him.
"You missed me?" She asked in almost a whisper.
Instead of answering her question, Connor silently takes his shoes off and lays them at the foot of the bed where he's sitting. He then moves up in the bed to lay down right next to where Jessica is sitting, still in shock. She looks over at him and he just smiles.
"Come lay with me." Without hesitation, she gets up out of her spot and considers walking around the bed to get to the other side but chooses differently. Jessica climbs over Connor, pausing while each of her legs are on both sides of him, and moving before he has a chance to say anything about it. She rolls over once she's under the covers and so does he. She purposely angles herself so that her butt is up against his front and doesn't say a word. They both go to bed with a smirk on their faces.
...
"Connor, Connor!" Jessica says after being abruptly woken up by a loud noise outside.
"What time is it?" He responds in a low-pitched, scratchy voice. He grabs her waist, under her shirt, and pulls her to him with his eyes still closed.
"It's almost 4:00, I think someone is here, Connor."
"It's probably just someone outside, come back to bed." Jessica looks down and realized she's almost out the door of her bedroom. When did I get up out of bed? She hears a loud bang again. Connor sits up.
"Did you hear it that time?" Jessica asks with slight sarcasm in her voice. She starts to head towards the stairs.
"What are you going to do?" He jumps out of bed running after her.
Instead of responding to Connor, she just heads straight for the front door, she doesn't know what she's going to do. All she knows is she wants to find out what's going on outside.
Without hesitating, or waiting for Connor, someone who could do much more damage to someone than she ever could, she opens the front door. She sees a sight she never thought she would again.
"Mom?" Jessica says in a shocked voice.
...
"Jess, Jess! Wake up Jess!" Jessica is abruptly woken up by the sound of Connor's voice.
"Is my mom still here, what happened?" She asks in confusion, seeming to not remember anything after seeing her mother at her front door in the middle of the night. Connor shakes his head.
"Your mother was never here. She doesn't live here Jess." More confusion.
"I know she doesn't live here. She came to see me during the night. You saw her, you were with me!" Jessica raises her voice as she speaks, becoming irritated as the minutes pass.
"It's almost four in the morning, we've been sleeping basically since I got here. You said my name in your sleep and it woke me up. You were moving around a lot and then you mumbled the word 'mom,' but she didn't show up here." Jessica feels tears prick in her eyes as Connor explains what happened. I must have dreamt it all. It felt so real.
"Do you want to talk about it?" He speaks again.
"No, actually. I don't. Can we just go back to bed?" Neither of them say another word. Connor takes Jess in his arms and closes his eyes without hesitation. Jessica, on the other hand, lies awake just staring at the blank wall, wondering what it would've been like if her mom did show up at her door during the night.
