Jungkook woke up to the pitter-patter of rain on roof. As he rose from his deep slumber, he blinked - closed his eyes and blinked again. He was in a room with few basic belongings placed is wall shelf. A wet cloth slipped from his forehead as he began to remember the night's events.

"Jiseo-" his throat felt scratchy, weakness still in marrow of his limbs. He heard shuffling from other room when jiseok entered with a glass of water.

"Here. Drink it" Jiseok helped him sit to drink water. He gulped like he was thirsty for ages, feeling utmost relief with the the soothing sensation.

"You were burning like a stove" Jiseok sadly looked at Jungkook who was visibly shaking like a rattled leaf. "I told you to stay in your room no matter what. What if you had encountered something fatal?"

"But I did. I sa- I saw strange things.." Jungkook gulped remembering the dead body. The pleads of help. The sad boy. "Someone needs help Jiseok! I heard someone crying for his parents!"

Jiseok was anything but surprised. The boy infront of him was scared to death, yet he remembers the pain of someone who was not real to begin with.

He stroked jungkook's hair away from his forehead and tiredly stood up.

"There are some things, we cannot fathom into words Jungkook. I know you are scared. I know fate played funny role in bringing you here" he turned away to fetch umbrella from stand. "But we cannot help. Sympathy has been felt since the beginning. It is will which never found its way".

"I have to go back in there. Least I can do is to not let this place turned into ruins. Dont worry" Jiseok held the door to his cottage open. "I will be safe. And you too if you stay inside these walls. Just eat this porridge. You need your energy back".

"And don't think about anything. I will bring your stuff here. You should leave as soon as you feel better for a journey."

"Who was he?" A croaked whisper escaped Jungkook's throat.

Jiseok managed a small, sad smile.

"A cursed innocent".

---------------------------------------------------------------------

It was past afternoon and rain had stopped. Jiseok was still nowhere to be seen while he waited restless. Being in close proximity with mansion was still giving him anxiety but he dared not to step outside, not even a glance.

He finally stood up from matress. Dizziness immediately felt taking over him. His eyes teared up when he thought about his life and how he risked it with recklessness.

He walked to second room which was way more spacious than the one he slept in. Few paintings hung on wall, a small shelf stacked with books. Jiseok left his meal on small table beside the window. He tooks few spoonfuls of porridge, ignoring the bland taste. He wanted enough energy to at least be able to reach Hoseok. He can't let his hyungs watch him in this state.

"Damn you yoongi. Why don't for once you try to come here before risking others life". Jungkook was angry. On yoongi. On Jiseok for leaving him on his own. Over himself for ignoring advice of every sane person around him.

Suddenly door flew open and a very disheveled Jiseok entered carrying Jungkook's belonging which he dropped on floor muttering an apology.

"Sorry it took me long enough. U actually toppeled very heavy furniture"

Jungkook was fuming.
"My bad jiseok. I was mistaken to give importance to my life instead of caring about some freak haunted house"
