Ch.12

Y/n POV

The woods were quiet, way too much for my liking, the silence helped with sleeping a bit but not much. The breeze was nice which helped me fall asleep faster. I've slept for a while and decided to head back and work on some things until I got a call from Ruby, asking me if I could help them with White Fang activity or something since everyone else is, and they thought I can be useful helping Blake and Sun infiltrate some meeting the WF were having, so I agreed and ended the call with her and texted Blake that I'll be on my way soon

TimeSkip Blake POV

After searching for the entire day and practically dragging Sun around the city I found where the meeting was thanks to the logo on the wall

Blake: This is it.

Sun: You sure? I glare at him and starts moving towards the entrance while unfastening my bow "Y'know, I'm just gonna take your word for it.

The two walk inside the building to a hallway filled with cases, seeing another man announcing "New recruits, keep to the right!" at the young pair as they follow.

Sun: "I don't get it. If you believe what you're doing is right, why hide who you are?"

Blake: "The masks are a symbol. Humanity wanted to make monsters out of us, so we chose to don the faces of monsters."

Sun: "Grimm masks... That's kind of dark."

Blake: "So was the guy who started it. I put the mask on and continued walking"

Sun: "Always sunshine and rainbows with you..."

The new recruits to the White Fang are moving in a line to the side of the stage, a mere few dozen compared to the hundreds of white-vested, black-hooded soldiers to their left and up above in the balconies. a fully-masked man with tattoos standing starts speaking

White Fang Lieutenant: "Thank you all for coming. For those of you who are joining us for the first time tonight, allow me to introduce a very special comrade of ours! I can assure you, he is the key to obtaining what we have fought for for so long!"

Then out appeared Roman

Roman: "Thank you, thank you! Please, hold your applause!"

Faunus:"What's a human doing here?!"

Roman: "I'm glad you asked, "Deerie"! Now, I'll be the first to admit, humans... are the worst. Case in point. So, I understand why you would like to see us all locked away, or, better yet, killed!"

Sun: "So, is he going somewhere with this?"

Roman: "But, before the claws come out, I'd like to mention the fact that you and I all have a common enemy: the ones in control, the people pulling the strings, the dirty, rotten humans that run our kingdoms!"

With a snap of the fingers, the curtain falls, and the whole mass of Faunus applaud at the sight of the Atlesian Paladin-290 behind it, the mark of the White Fang painted on its shoulder.

Sun: "Whoa, that's a big robot..."

Blake: "How did he get that?"

Roman: "As some of you may have heard, this right here...is Atlas' newest defense against all the scary things in the world. And thanks to my employer, we've managed to snag a few before they uh, "hit the shelves". Now, many of your brothers have already moved down to our new operation in the southeast. If you'd rather stay within the city, that's fine... But if you're truly ready to fight for what you believe in, this is the arsenal I can provide you. Any questions? "

Blake: "We should get out of here."

White Fang Lieutenant: "Will all new recruits, please come forward!"

Sun:"Welp!"

The White Fang is still cheering loudly as the recruits are marched to the stage, making us have no choice and to follow along

Sun:"What are we gonna do?!"

Blake:"I'm thinking..."

Sun:"He sees us..."

Blake:"Crap..."Just then I get a notification from my scroll, it's from Y/n telling us to get ready for something

Sun:"Get ready for what?!"

The power went out, I look around and noticed the junction box was destroyed, I felt a hand on my shoulder so I turn to see Y/n pushing me and Sun towards the window

Y/n:"Get ready to run!"

Sun:"Where did you come from?!"

Roman:"Don't let them get away!"

Y/n:"I can deal with goons! Just jump!"

After Y/n said this I started to book it out of there and looked back to see him fight off the members

Blake:"Please be safe..."

Y/n POV

After my dumbass save I pulled, I fended off the White Fang members while Blake and Sun ran for it. Some of the members went to attack me until they stopped looked at each other, nodded and backed up away from me. I was confused at first until I heard footsteps approaching behind them. Then these huge hands appeared pushing aside the members and emerging from the dark is this brute with muscles that has muscles on his muscles walk towards me and give me a death glare

Y/n:"Holy shit... what do they feed you?!"

Brute:"..."

Y/n:"I-Is there an option... to run..." he shake his head while glaring at me "No... Okay, well guess we're fighting..." he roared and started to charge at me with anger, I screamed in fear and started to run away but my foot got grabbed by the behemoth and flung me around like a rag doll hitting every wall and occasionally punching me. The brute then threw me to the ground, my body felt like I got punched by Yang when she's pissed... but worse...

Y/n:"Ugh... can... you give me a minute..." I weakly say while holding up a finger

Brute:"I got all night pal, take your time" he said in a deep raspy voice, I nodded and started to slowly gain back my bearings and started to get my breath back while the brute waited

Y/n:"Okay... let's go..." I started to rapidly punch him in the gut and it didn't phase him at all. He laughed at me as I continued to hit him

Brute:"Your punches are like fighting a baby!" he continued to laugh while I stood there regretting life choices "Now, you die!"

He backed handed me to the floor hard, almost knocking me out. I looked up at the Brute like it was that last thing I was going to see until I heard a voice from somewhere

???:"You shouldn't die just yet..."
