Creation with Ice and Fire

Part 1

(Todoroki POV)

I ran my fingers through my hair as I entered the classroom. I was a bit disheveled from the little sleep I got last night. A dream had kept me up and every time I closed my eyes it would re-play in my mind making me jump. It was awfully terrifying my father burning my right side with his quirk telling me that now my left would be the only power I possessed. I walked over to my seat and laid my head on the cool desk. I began to shake I wasn't cold but the feeling that my father could do that to me that he would do that to me was unbearable. I heard the door open but didn't pay any attention I was the only one in the class even earlier than our class rep Tenya Iida. 

I curled my head in my arms still tormented by my dream. I don't know why but I chocked out a sob. Soon I was crying. It wasn't loud but it was for whoever in the classroom. Soon someones arms were wrapped around me I was in a tight embrace. Their fingers ran through my hair and then I heard her voice. "Todoroki are you alright?" I turned and faced her. "Yaoyorozu?" I wiped my face quickly trying to hide my tears. I stared into her eyes and how her soft hand was against my face. Her hair dark like a ravens her lips pink. I found my face getting hot. I looked down at my hands which were trembling. "I-I'm alright. Thank you Yaoyorozu." She smiled but I could see she was still worried. Her arm began to glow and out shot a tissue. She handed it to me and smiled. 

I took it and smiled back at her. "Meet me at my dorm room after school ok?" She said her voice like honey. I knew my face was beginning to turn red because when she looked at she began to chuckle her own face turning a shade of red. "Don't look so scared Todoroki." She laughed and I did the same. She gave me a quick hug and sat down as the class rep entered the room. As the day went by I continued to stare at her I don't know what I was feeling but it felt safe and warm. I found myself wanting her to hug me again. As soon as the bell rang for school to be let out I dashed to the mens room and combed my hair. What am I doing?  I thought. She's just my friend I told myself. She's just my friend. 

I continued to comb my hair and stare into the mirror. The door swung open and I caught the eyes of the green haired Izuku. He gave me a very confused look and I remembered that I was stressing over Yaoyorozu and combing my hair like an idiot. "Oh um hey Midoriya...." I shyly put down my comb and turned to face him. He began to laugh and I know I looked offended because he stopped almost immediately.  "I'm sorry dude but its really funny seeing you stressed out and combing your hair trying to make it perfect. So Todoroki I turned around during class when I asked Uraraka for a pencil and caught you staring at Momo. 

You had a slight blush on your face I'm questioning it. Do you have a crush on Yaoyorozu or something?" I was taken aback I bumped into the sink my face once again became hot. "W-What! I-I don't have a crush on her she's just my friend!" Midoriya burst out laughing as I ran out the bathroom my face completely red. What was he talking about? I didn't have a crush on her we were just friends nothing more. I don't know how but without meaning to I ran all the way to the dorms and now stood in front of Momo's room. I calmed myself down and smiled. I polity knocked on her door and my smile widened as she opened it. "Todoroki come in." At those words I entered her room the two of us smiled nervously.
