???'s POV

"Alright dude, your timing is impeccable! Great going back there!"

One of the Ninja had shouted out to me after I had returned from saving that falling girl and was then making my way back to where the trouble was.

"Thanks...!" I gasped, hopping off the last tree and landing right before the big piece of junk Serpentine had cooked up; this time, it looked like they created a huge lawnmower looking thing....? Except for instead of it cutting grass, it seems like it's meant to cut down trees.

"Alright snacks, what is it this time? You ran out of ideas or what?" I asked mockingly, watching the driver snake with a taunting glare.

"Grrr, it's none of your business! You Ninja shouldn't even be here in the first place!" The snake shouted, glaring at me angrily. On both sides of me, I felt the presence of my comrades appear, and they too watched Serpentine with an unamused expression.

"What a load of junk. Cutting down trees with this huge chunk of metal? For what?" My flame brother, Kai scoffed, crossing his arms over his chest. "Who cares what it's for? Let's just crush the thing and leave the snakes running for their home!" Earth master Cole exclaimed, smashing a fist into the palm of his hand. "I agree, due to their carelessness they almost costed an innocent citizen her life. Let's do away with them now," The last one with us, Zane spoke up.

"What makes you so confident in beating us! ATTACK THEM!!" The main snake hissed, waving his arms angrily at us. The other snakes immediately took out weapons and began to approach me and the others, ready to fight.

"It's only six of them. This is basically gonna be a walk in the park," Kai exclaimed, whipping out his sword. He then reared back and dashed at the snakes, swiping his weapon at them. Cole took out his scythe and went for the main snake, the driver of the machine, and Zane was already going through the machine, pulling up what looked to be a blueprint.

It looked like...the other Ninja had the snakes taken care of...I probably should've stayed back with the girl then. Six snakes aren't a big deal, right? Besides, Kai had already knocked out three of them, and the last three were busy running away from Cole. Zane was examining the blueprint he'd found, and the whole machine was already damaged.

It wasn't even 30 seconds and our job was already finished.

"Typical snakes," I Chuckled, and I decide to head back to where I had left that girl. Hopefully , she was still where I left her so she could tell me what she was doing way high up in that tree. She could've been killed if it weren't for me and the Ninja showing up on time.

"Hey you guys!" I called out to the others, causing them all to turn to me. "I'm gonna head back to that girl to check up on her. You coming or what?"

You sat on the ground at the base of one of the trees, shaking and holding your backpack very close to you. Your mind was flashing with everything that had just happened—snakes had come to cut down the trees in the forest, yours was first, and you nearly plummeted to your death, a strange man in blue, presumably a ninja, saved you from your fall and then left before you even had the chance to say a word.

You still felt shaky from nearly getting killed, but you were also extremely thankful for the one that had saved you. He was just on time, right when you needed help.
