A 17 year old highschooler, happy, cheerful, everyone loved him, found dead in a well and no one knows how he got there.
Jonathan was his name, he got hit by a truck and he flew into a well, bumped his head and died. They found him 3 days later.
The silence and nothingness of death had always been feared by man since the beginning of time... no one truly knows what happens after death. But this silence is soon to be broken for Jonathan. He hears a soft whisper as he opens his eyes to see himself in a bright field... from a short distance he sees a man, bright as the sun standing before him.
Jonathan asks, "are you God?"
The being replied, "well... not exactly... but you're close! As he smiles.
"What's your name?" Jonathan asks curiously
"I am Filious, High Priest of the order of Paisan"
Filious helps this young man to stand up and looks at him from head to toe, he notices how taller he is than him. He's not very amused.
"What brings you to Holy Field, boy?" Filious asks.
Jonathan thinks real hard, but he really can't remember how he got there. The last thing he remembers is crossing the street, a hard thump on his head and then... darkness... silence... coldness. Suddenly it all hit him! He died! And he's been transported to another world!!!
Without thinking about it, Jonathan said "I-I think I might be dead".
Filious' expression drops dramatically, he changes his stance and pointed his staff at Jonathan. He utters some kind of prayer, as he was doing this a magic circle forms around Jonathan. Filious continues to pray as Jonathan finds himself getting weaker and weaker.
"How dare you desecrate this sacred place! You undead monsters make me sick!" He says.
Suddenly, a beam of light surrounds the Holy Field. A woman appears in front of Filius. Wearing white garments and a veil, she stands gracefully amidst the commotion.
"Stop this right now!" She exclaimed.
Filious, now recognizing who this being was stopped at once and fell to his knees.
"Great Guardian of the Holy Field, pardon my sins"
Filious remembers that it is forbidden to use any kind of binding magic in the Holy Field. This was to prevent anyone from accidentally binding any resting souls or weak guardians. He forgot this rule because there had been no undead creatures to crossover to the holy field for centuries, the barrier prevents them to do so.
The guardian in a firm and serious tone scolds Filius saying "Explain yourself, priest. Why are you casting forbidden magic in this sanctuary?"
Filius still on his knees pleaded to the guardian.
"MY LADY, have mercy on me! But an undead has infiltrated the barrier. As High Priest it is my duty to-"
A gush of wind strikes Filius. He falls to his face as he cowers. The Guardian, fully enraged hovers over him and prepares to strike again.
"How dare you! Are you saying my barrier failed?!" As she was about to strike, Filius pointed towards Jonathan's direction.
"My Lady! There is the undead, behind you! Please spare me!" He pleads as he lays prostrate to the ground.
The Guardian turns sharply, her eyes locking onto Jonathan. For a moment, she examines him, the sternness in her gaze softening slightly as she notices his confusion and fear.
"Rise, young one," she commands, her voice carrying both authority and gentleness.
Jonathan, trembling, stands up, feeling the warmth and power radiating from her. "I... I don't know how I got here. I swear I'm not here to cause trouble."
