I stood in the mirror, staring at myself. I looked absolutely gorgeous. Violet knew what she was doing.
We had just gotten back from the mall. We had picked out a red lace midi dress and white heels for tonight. The dress hugged my curves tightly, in a good way. I curled the ends of my long hair and did light makeup. I was ready for tonight.
I left my room and closed the door behind me. I slowly and carefully walked down the stairs, trying not to trip. I was never good at walking in heels.
"Jesus Christ," Logan said, coming toward me from the living room. "You look breathtaking, Bunny!"
Logan looked exactly like he always did. In a black shirt and blue jeans. Still, he looked more breathtaking than I did.
"Thank you." I blushed. "We should hurry up and go. I want to be early."
"Sure. Do you have everything you need before we go?"
"Yep."
"Okay. Here, I'll help you walk." He held his arm out to me. I smiled and linked my arm with his. I reached up and kissed his cheek softly.
"Aww, thanks babe." He smiled.
We left the house and marched toward the car. "Here you go, my lady." Logan said as he opened the passenger side door for me. "Thank you, sir." I said and climbed in. After that, he climbed into the drivers side and began to drive down the street.
My heart started to pound as we got closer to Violet's street. I was still angry at myself for inviting Chloe. This party was supposed to be a celebration for Grace and I, now it was a competition.
"Are you okay, babe? You've been quiet all day." Logan asked
"I-I'm fine. I'm just a little upset."
"At me?" He raised his eyebrows.
"No, at myself. God, I feel like an idiot for inviting Chloe and her stupid boyfriend!"
"Bunny, you're being a little too hard on yourself."
"No, I'm being honest."
"Look, you were caught in the moment. What you did was stupid, but what's done is done. She's going to come. Stop being hard on yourself and accept it."
I didn't fight with him after that. There would be no point. I would lose anyway.
Violet's house peered round the corner. About two dozen cars were parked around it. Violet was standing outside, looking around frantically.
"Do you think she's looking for you?" Logan said, parking the car.
"Most likely," I sighed.
Logan stepped out of the car and came over to my side once again. He opened the door for me and held his hand out. I took his hand and stepped out of the car. Together, we walked towards the house. Violet's attention immediately turned to us. She and I wore the same dress, but the one she wore was purple and instead of white heels, she wore tall black ones.
"Hannah!" She called out. She slowly tip toed down the stairs. "Hannah Sky!" She said between her teeth.
"What? What is it?!" I said.
"Ugh! That witch you invited decided to invite the whole school!"
"What?!"
"Yes! Everyone is coming!"
"Really?! Is she here now?"
"Yes! She's inside getting all cutesy and shit with her boyfriend!"
