Chapter 18: Fireworks

"You still read those stupid things?" I looked up at Dean who had just come back home from whatever he was doing. "Yeah? Why?" Dean sat down a six pack of beer and an apple pie on the table cocking an eyebrow at me. "Well you are living with us now. How much more do you need to know?" I laughed grabbing a beer from the box. Dean looked at me like I just stole his candy, which I kinda did considering the fact this boy is mad for alcohol. "Oh come on don't look at me like that its one beer and come on you don't want to see what your life is like from another persons eyes?" Dean chuckled and sat down watching me intently. "Yeah one beer to many, Molly I lived it I don't want to have to relive it again." I laughed and struggling to get the bottle open. Dean continued to watch me before he finally reached over and popped the bottle open with ease. "Show off." I took a swig from the bottle before immediately gagging. "Not much of a drinker are you?" He swept the bottle from me and begin drinking it himself. "No but after the few weeks I had.... I need something to ease my mind. Plus being locked in and stuck here doesn't make it any better." Dean leaned back in his chair.

"You're not stuck here." "Yeah I am you guys legit leave me notes to not leave." "It was one note." "Yeah one note to many Dean." Dean sat back and looked at me trying to think of something to say. "You want to get out? Okay tonight me and you will go out." I looked at him trying to hold back the smile sneaking it's way on to my face. Finally I can see what outside looks like again. Being trapped in for awhile kinda makes one go insane. Especially when you're stuck with these two knuckle heads. "Where?" He shrugged while getting up, "You'll just have to wait and see." He grinned at me before walking out. I rolled my eyes grabbing my book and beginning to read once again.

"If were going on a hunt Dean I swear to god." "I'm not just sit back and relax." Dean turned down a dirt road and turned up the radio. I guess the awkward silence was a little to much for him too. AC/DC you shook me all night long was played in the background, Dean was tapping the steering wheel to the beat. It was kinda cute watching him get into the song. I let out a small sigh as flashbacks entered my mind.

A few moments later we pulled up to an empty field. Did he really drive me all this way to take me to a damn open field? He's got to be kidding me. "Were are we Dean?" He turned off the engine and stared out into the field. "Growing up Sam and I never really got to do things like other kids did. Kids were scared of monsters and well... We hunted them, moved around a lot and never really had friends. Sammy was young and had a future, you could tell he was never really into that stuff, but dad didn't care. I was left to raise him a lot of times so I tried to give him the life I never had. This field was the place Sammy and I first celebrated 4th of July." I watched him intently, I instantly felt bad about what I thought earlier. He clenched his jaw and took a swig of beer. He was trying to hold back the tears that pooled up in his eyes. I rubbed his back and he gave me a small pity smile blinking the tears back. "I know it's just a bland old field but it means a lot and I'm not one to get all mushy-" I kissed him before he could say anymore. I pulled back and rested my head on his. "I think it's beautiful" I smiled at him and he smiled back. Dean grabbed my hand and kissed it softly sending shivers down my spine. "Molly I know this is quick but over that past few weeks I've grown feelings for you and I've made so many memories in this field and I want to make many more with you...." Dean gave me a small smile and squeezed my hand. "Dean Winchester did you just ask me out?" He nodded and continued to stare at me wide eyed. At that moment I realized I didn't answer yet. "Omg yes" Dean smiled big and gave me a very passionate kiss sending off fireworks in every direction. I can't believe I'm dating a Winchester!
