~A Few Days Later~
We were all at the boys house. I was chilling on the couch while everyone else was on chairs. We were waiting for Jared and Jeffrey to come back with food. They had left for pizza about an hour and a half ago and it was pouring down rain, yet they still weren't back. I started getting worried.
"You guys, what if they crashed?" I said shakily.
"Don't jump to that conclusion yet. They could still be alive. Maybe the pizza got screwed up so they had to make a new one." Jesse said as he tried to comfort me.
"Thanks for trying but do you really believe that?"
"Yes I do. And if you loved them like I know you do, then you'll believe it too."
"Okay. I believe it." I sighed. Although, I knew that's not what the case was, I went along in hopes that I would end up being wrong. Suddenly, my phone started vibrating. "It's Jared." I answered it. "Where are you guys?"
"Hospital."
"WhaT? Why?" I asked, almost breaking out into tears.
"We were almost home and then a car came speeding through an intersection and it collided with our car. We flew a few feet forward and rolled a couple times."
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah. i'm fine." he paused and hesitated. "I don't know if you'll want to hear this." he sighed.
"Just tell me Jared."
"Alright fine. Jeffrey was terribly injured. He could be dying right now. I need you down here right away." he sounded like he'd been crying. "He needs you." he sniffled.
"Okay. See you soon." I quickly hung up and grabbed my stuff. I didn't care if it was raining and I could crash. I had to go see him. I walked out the door and ignored everyone as I drove away. I got to the hospital and rushed up to the front desk. "I'm looking for Jeffrey Boyle."
"Room 108. Floor 5." she said sympathetically. I rushed up as fast as I could and saw Jared waiting outside the room. As soon as he saw me, he ran to me and hugged me.
"I'm so sorry I made you guys go for the pizza." I cried into his shoulder.
"It'll be alright Jay. It's not your fault." he said as he slowly rubbed my back.
"Can we go see him?"
"Yeah. Let's go." he grabbed my hand and we walked in. I saw Jeffrey and ran to his side, immediately grabbing his hand.
"Jeffrey, I know you can hear me somehow. I'm not letting you go now. We just met almost a week ago and if you die, I don't know what will happen. I need you to pull though, not only for your brothers and your fans but for me too. I'll miss you so much if you leave us now." I said through my tears. Jared came and hugged me. "This isn't what I was expecting at all. He looks terrible."
"I want him to be okay because it's making you sad."
"I want him to wake up." I cried into his side as we looked at the bed.
"Me too." he sighed then looked at me. "Do you want to stay here with me tonight?"
"Sure. I'll tell the others I'm staying here." I said. I grabbed my phone and dialed Julianna's number.
"Hello?"
"Jul, can you stay with the boys tonight?"
"Why? Are you okay?"
"I'm fine. I jsut won't be home tonight. I'm staying here with Jared."
"Where? And where's Jeffrey?"
"We're at the hospital. Long story. Talk to you in the morning."
"Okay. Bye." she said and hung up. I sat down next to Jared as we stared at Jeffrey.
"I hope he's okay." I sighed,
"He will be. Now get some sleep. It's late."
"Okay. Goodnight Jared. Night Jeffrey." I rested my head on Jared's shoulder and we both fell asleep.
~The Next Morning~
I woke up and rubbed my eyes. Someone was holding my hand so I looked down and saw Jared's hand. He was sleeping. Then I remembered why we were here and I looked at the bed. Jeffrey was still not awake. I stared at him.
"Still not awake yet?" I heard Jared mumble.
"No. What if he doesn't wake up for a long time?"
"I'm sure he will. You're here for him and if he loves you, he'll pull through."
"Thanks. I hope he wakes up soon."
"Are you hungry?" he asked. I nodded. "Want me to get you some food?"
"Yeah. I would appreciate it. Thank you."
"Okay. I'll be back later." he smiled and walked out of the room slowly. I stood up and started pacing around the room.
"You know, even though I can barely see right now, you still have a nice butt." I turned around.
"Jeffrey, you're alive." I ran to his side.
"Of course I am. I'm not allowed to leave you remember?"
"Yeah good."
"What happened though?"
"You and Jared crashed last night when coming home with the pizza that I made you guys get. It's my fault you're in here." I said, almost in tears.
"It's not your fault. It's my fault. I wasn't paying attention to the road last night and the car came out of nowhere."
"Don't blame yourself either Jeffrey."
"I almost died. What would've happened to you?"
"I don't know. I would probably be depressed about losing you You're my best friend."
"And you're my best friend. Which is why I can't leave you."
"Good. I'm just glad you're still alive." I said as I hugged him. Tears were already coming down my face.
"Jay, don't cry. It's not good for you."
"I know. I just can't help it." I sighed.
"Please stop, for me?" he wiped away my tears.
"Alright. I'll try to." I smiled at him.
"Good. I would hate to see you upset. You're way too pretty to be sad."
"Thanks. That makes me feel so much better." I blushed. The door opened and Jared came back.
"Alright Jay. I got your favorite- Jeffrey! You're alive!" he smiled as he set the food down and walked over to us.
"Well that's because I knew she was here so I had to wake up. Can't leave her." he smiled.
"Told you he'd wake up because you're here."
"I know. I didn't doubt that."
"Good. Jared, can you ask when I get out of here?"
"Yeah. I'll be right back." he said before leaing the room.
"I hope you get out soon." I smiled at him and sat down in the chair next to his bed. He grabbed my hand and smiled.
"Yeah. Me too."
