~A Few Days Later~

After Jeffrey and I started over, I realized that maybe we might not have been meant to be together. I'm currently trying to debate whether I should tell him how I really feel or just let him keep doing his own thing.

"Jay, wanna go swimming with us?" Jared asked. I looked up from my phone to see Jacob, Jared, Jesse, Julianna and Jeffrey ready to go in the pool.

"Yeah. Give me a minute to change?"

"Sure thing. Meet you out there." Jared said. They all went outside. I went upstairs and got changed into my favorite bikini. I was about to go outside when I saw Jeffrey sitting at the kitchen table.

"You okay?" I asked him.

"Not really." he sighed.

"What's wrong?"

"I just can't seem to get people to like me."

"What do you mean?"

"I can't get a good, decent girl to like me."

"What about your girlfriend?"

"I broke up with her."

"Why would you do that?"

"I have feelings for someone else." he looked at me. "And she also kinda cheated on me."

"That's terrible. And if you like someone else, I think you should um...tell her." I said, trying my best not to show that I was upset about what he said.

"I've tried but I messed things up and now she hates me. Plus, she likes my brother." he sighed.

"I'm sure she doesn't hate you."

"Well there may be a chance that she doesn't. I'll tell her later."

'Good. Now can we go swimming?" I smiled.

"Yeah. Sure we can."

"Yay." I stood at the door and waited for him.

"You look great." he smiled. We walked outside and I sat on one of the chairs. Julianna came over to me and sat down.

"Wow. You actually got him outside." she smiled.

"Yeah. He seemed upset earlier. I just want to find the girl he likes so I can tell her everything." I smiled to myself then frowned a little when I thought of how it might not be me,

"You're so naive Jay."

"Why?"

"Nothing. Just...nvm...." she said before going back in the pool with the boys. I closed my eyes for some rest when I felt arms go around my waist and pick me up. Seconds later, I was hit with instant coldness. I opened my eyes to see Jared smiling at me.

"Jared!"

"Sorry. You just have to stay in here. You can relax later." he chuckled and jumped in. The jump caused him to splash me.

"Jared, it's cold. I was warm up there."

"I don't care. You said you wanted to go swimming."

"I know." I sighed.

"Well you're swimming so suck it up." he smiled as he splashed me. I splashed him back and we had a splash war. Jeffrey joined in and splashed me. I jumped on his back and splashed him.

"Try it now Jeffrey." I giggled. He smirked and went under, taking me with him. When I resurfaced, I noticed that he was laughing. I smiled and then went over to him, looking sad.

"i'm sorry Jay. Do you need a hug?"

"Yes. A hug would be great right now." I said as he threw his arms towards me. I just smirked and swa away.

"Ha. Should've thought about before you took me underwater. No hug for you." I smiled and got out of the pool.

"Fine. I didn't want to hug you anyway jerk." he smirked. I layed down on my chair and smiled to myself.

"Hey guys, can we have a party tonight?"

"If you want to Jay." Jesse smiled.

"Yay." I cheered and went into the house to change. Minutes later, I heard the back door close and footsteps up the stairs, followed by a knock on my door. I was still in the middle of changing so I was just in my bra and shorts. Without thinking, I answered them. "Come in." I said as I continued looking for a shirt.

"For the party, do you want-" Jeffrey began as he entered the room. He saw me and stopped ha;fway through his sentence.

"Oh. Sorry. I'm just trying to find a shirt. Don't mind me." I smiled and kept searching.

"Maybe you could wear that really cute crop top. The black one with the words 'Lose Yourself' across the chest. I like that one." he smiled and held it up.

"You're a lifesaver." I smiled and quickly put it on.

"You're welcome." He smiled and sat on my bed.

"So whatt were you saying earlier about the party?"

"Oh. I was going to ask you what drinks and stuff you wanted."

"The usual party drinks. Like beer, vodka, soda, all that kinds of stuff. And just regular snack food."

"Alright. I'll go get it all for you. Would you like to come with me?"

"Sure." I smiled and grabbed my phone. Jeffrey smiled and we walked out the door and to the car. We got to the store and bought all the stuff. I wanted to buy it myself but Jeffrey insisted since he wanted to make sure I was happy. We brought it home and began setting up.

~A few hours later~

"Wow. This party is amazing Jeffrey." I heard a girl say to him as I passed him. I rolled my eyes and walked away. When I was in another room, I heard Julianna yell.

"Everyone, let's play  minutes in heaven!" she yelled. I walked nto the living room and sat down. Everyone had to put an item in. I put my bracelet in. When the bag came around, I pulled out a necklace with a cross charm.

"That's mine. Looks like we're going together." Jared smiled. We stood up and walked out of the room together. As we walked past Jeffrey, I swear I saw him clench his fist. I just smirked and followed Jared to the closet. Once we were in there, he looked at me.

"So?" I asked.

"You don't have to do anything if you don't want to. I know how you feel about jeffrey still and I know that he's still in love with you so I won't screw it up."

"This is why you're my favorite. You show compassion and you care about how other people feel." I smiled at him. He sat down on a nearby box and looked at me.

"Well, I do like you though. I'm just not into you the way Jeffrey is."

"Oh really?"

"Yeah. He's so far into you but he's too scared to tell you."

"Oh. Okay. Do you think when we get out of here, I should walk up to him, grab him by his collar and kiss him in front of everyone?" I giggled.

"Yeah. Just one question though."

"What is it?"

"Are you drunk?"

"No. I surprisingly haven't had one drink at all."

"Wow. That's a record right?"

"Yes sir. And I think our time's up."

"Alright. Go get him Jay." he smiled and hugged me. I made my way out of the closet and over to Jeffrey. I looked into his eyes and pressed my lips to his. I heard the others all cheer for us It was honestly one of the greatest nights ever.
