y/n's POV:

I sighed as I set my backpack down and closed the door to my apartment down. My aunt's head peeked up from behind the counter, and she set a tray of cookies down in front of me. "y/n, child, you didn't tell me you were coming home so fast?"

I sighed, and wrapped my aunt in a hug. "It's okay, Aunt Penny, I'm fine. I just took the subway instead of walking back from the park today." Aunt Penny gasped, and reared back, patting me down slowly and placing her hands on my shoulders. "My little girl took the subway? Are you alright?" I sighed, and pulled her hands off my shoulders. "Auntie, I'm fine. I'm just tired, so I'll head to my room."

As I walked over to my room, I heard my aunt call out to me again. "Remember, tomorrow is your first day at Midtown High!" I groaned, and quickly slipped inside my room. I really wasn't read to head over to school tomorrow, having moved here just yesterday. I heard the doorbell to our apartment ring, and I got up from my room, signaling to May that I'd answer the door.

I wrapped a blue Midtown High hoodie I'd picked up at 'orientation' this morning, covering my "I survived New York" t-shirt and only showing my black jeans. I put my (h/c) hair up/brushed it behind my shoulders as I took a deep breath, looking though the eye hole of the door. The only thing I saw was a head full of brown curls.

I opened the door from my side, and I felt a breath of air leave me, upon seeing the cutest person I'd seen so far in this new city. I guess that didn't mean much though, seeing as I'd only spotted about 15 or so people. But he was the cutest looking boy I'd seen in a while, with soft brown hair curling over his forehead, light pink cheeks, and clear dimple indentations when he smiled. He looked up, and his gentle brown eyes met mine, his cheeks quickly flushing red.

"O-Oh, hi! I'm guessing you guys are the new neighbors? My Aunt May wanted me to come and say hi, I-I mean she's here too. Can we come in?" I nodded, as words failed me. I stepped off to the side, as my Aunt Penny stepped into the main hallway area. I looked at the boy, as his aunt and mine started towards the kitchen, with murmurs of tea? no, i'd rather have coffee.

I walked towards the main living room area, and sat down across from the boy, smiling at him quietly. "So, what's your name, cute kid?" He looked up, a light smile and a blush playing across his cheeks. He played with the sleeve of his blue hoodie, and spoke up. "My name's Peter! Peter Parker. What's yours?" I looked up, smiling at him. "That's a start, Pete. My name's y/n. y/n l/n."

Peter smiled. "That's a nice name. Do you know what school you're going to yet?" I nodded, my eyes taking in every inch of his appearance. He seemed really nice, and he had a touch of genuine kindness to his voice. "I'm going to Midtown High."

I could spot the look of happiness and relief in his eyes, filling me with an unexpected joy. "T-that's awesome! I go there too, so you can find me there tomorrow, okay?" I giggled at his happiness, and nodded. "I'll meet you by the front gates, okay?"

Peter smiled, nodding. I heard his phone beep, and he leapt up, checking. "y/n, i'm so sorry, I have the Stark Internship to go to." I smiled. "Tell me about it tomorrow, okay Peter?"

Pete blushed, and ran out the door with a goodbye.

Damn, now I was looking forward to school.
