y/n's pov

I woke up in my armchair, my phone barely clutched in my hands as the sun streamed through my window, hitting me square in the face.
Unlike the sitcoms, where the main character stretches peacefully when the sun hits their face, I screeched, and crumpled onto the floor dramatically. My aunt Penny threw open the door at the sound of me hitting the floor, and sighed as she saw me curling into a ball.
She bent over, and unceremoniously peeled me off the floor by holding my arm. "C'mon, y/n, time to wake up. I made pancakes and ((b/f=breakfast food)!" I immediately leapt up from my aunt's grasp, and ran off to the bathroom. I could hear aunt Penny yelling after me to get ready "properly." Of course I would.
I dashed out of the bathroom ten minutes after, brushing my hair and grabbing clothes from my dresser, haphazardly throwing them on my bed. I tugged my Midtown High sweatshirt on over my favorite nerdy t-shirt and pulled on a pair of jeans, sighing as I hopped down the hallway of the apartment, quickly lacing up my sneakers/combat boots.
I slid into my seat at the table right as Penny turned around with the pan of food, smoothing back my hair and taking a sip of the coffee that she had set out. Aunt Penny held the food away from me as she looked me over, and then she placed a chocolate-chip pancake with a side of (b/f).
I started to shovel bites into my mouth, and Aunt Penny casually mentioned something as I had my mouth full of food. "By the way, I invited Peter and his Aunt May over for breakfast. They'll be here in two minutes." I choked on my pancake, coughing as I took a sip of coffee to wash it down.
"What? You- wh- You invited them over?" The doorbell interrupted me, and Penny leapt up, running for the door before I could. I tried to fix my hair, and I swallowed the rest of the sticky pancake stuck in my throat, leaping up from my barstool chair.
Penny swung the door open, revealing May and Peter, with Peter ready for school already with his backpack on and some earbuds dangling out of the collar of his sweater. I blushed a bright red, as he looked...even cuter than yesterday. Penny talked to May a bit, and she pointed Peter to the kitchen...where i was...as she sat down with May in the living room, winking at me as she sat down.
Crap.
I smiled at Peter as he walked over, signaling to the open seat beside me. Peter sat down nervously, and I pulled a plate of pancakes towards him, leaping up and grabbing the coffee carafe as well. I poured him a cup as he basically drowned his pancakes in maple syrup, and I sat down beside him.
We ate in comfortable, although clearly tense silence, our elbows bumping every so often. I looked up at the sound of a TV newscast in the kitchen, as it was currently running a report on the red and blue superhero of New York, Spider-Man.
I put my chin in my hand and studied the TV, vaguely aware of Peter putting his fork down and watching me glance at the suited hero. "You think Spider-Man's cute, Peter?" I asked absently, and he choked on his coffee, spitting a bit out.
I quickly gave him a glass of water, patting his back a few times as he washed down the glob of pancake most definitely stuck in his throat, coughing a bit more. "Hey, hey, Pete...you're okay..." He finally stopped coughing, looking up at me.
"I think he would be cute, y/n."
