Chapter 2
First Stop in L.A.Grace stirred in her seat, rubbing her eyes as she saw that the lights had turned on, people packing up the stuff that they had out.
"Welcome to Los Angeles, California everyone. Hope you enjoyed your flight with Southwest Airlines. Have a great day and please, come join us again." The same lady from hours earlier on had said, her perky voice echoing throughout the plane.
People started to get out of their seats, getting their carrions from above and exiting the plane. Grace sat up and said goodbye to the women and her child. The little girl gave her a picture that she drew which was suppose to be a dog, but really it was just scribbles of blue and brown. Grace thanked the girl and gave her a lollipop after her mother said it was fine. She then walked to the bag checkout and got her bags, heading outside for a taxi. She waved her hands in the air as the cool breeze hit her. Seconds later a bright yellow car sped up and stopped in front of her. She opened the door and got in to be greeted by a guy around her age.
"Where to?" The guy with blue hair asked, his tongue ring coming into sight.
"To Café Los Feliz please." Grace politely said, a smile on her face as she thought of the small cafe she had dreamt of going to ever since she was a young girl.
"Here we go!" He yelled, zooming off.
Grace fell back into her seat, the force pushing her against the seat. The punk rock boy had 'Bring me the Horizon' blasting through the speakers while he drove like a maniac. Grace knew that if a police officer was nearby that they would be picked up on the system and pulled over for reckless driving.
"Um, sir." Grace called, however the music was so loud that he couldn't hear her.
Grace looked over his shoulder and saw that he was going ninety five in a sixty five miles per hour zone. She then saw that there was a red light not too far ahead. She didn't move an inch, because she thought that the boy would continue going the same speed, if not maybe even faster. However, the boy had other plans. He crunched his foot down on the brakes, Grace flying and hitting the back of the drivers seat. She collected herself together and she looked as though steam was rising off of her. The boy turned the music down so his voice was audible and started to laugh. Grace only grew more angry within each giggle that escaped the man's lips.
"How dare you?" She finally yelled out, the boy turning around to look at her.
By now he was done laughing. That was until he saw her face. He erupted into fits of laugher yet again as he stared at the bright red spot forming on the girl's forehead.
"What is so funny?" She shouted in a clueless tone of voice.
"Look in the mirror." He said as he saw that the light had turned green.
He yet again began to speed off. Grace pulled out her phone and searched up how far away the café was from her current location.
"Three more minutes." She mumbled impatiently, waiting to get away from the moron behind the wheel.
It was people like him that made Grace's blood boil.
Grace's parents died in a car crash and every time she saw a bad driver she would grow with anger. She hated how people could act so reckless and get away with it. Grace took her driving seriously, because she knew the dangers of reckless driving. She lived through it.
A tear slipped from Grace's left eye, forcing her to quickly wipe it away. She shut her phone off and closed her eyes, hoping that her nightmare would soon end. Thankfully, for her it did.
"We're here so wake up sleeping beauty." The blue hair boy joked.
Grace got out of the car and took her luggage from the trunk, slamming the man's door while she gave him the middle finger and continued to walk away from him. The boy didn't seem to be bothered for he only left instead of getting out to get his money from her.
