Chapter 4
First Day on the Job

The sound of an alarm blaring woke Grace up from her beauty sleep. She sat up and rubbed her eyes, soon stretching her arms. She got up and trudged her way to her bathroom which luckily wasn't too far from her couch. She was still working on getting a bed and whatnot. For now though the couch was doing just fine with the exception of a few neck pains here and there.

Grace got in the shower and did her routine, getting out thirty minutes later. By now she was awake and happy. Grace was most definitely not a morning person, but due to today's events, she was full of joy and excitement.

She went to her closet and pulled out a pair of skinny jeans and a pink sweater. She got dressed and grabbed her purse which consisted of her wallet, phone charger, chapstick, a pack of gum, and a pen with a notepad. Grace locked her door and typed in the address that Julienne had sent her. Grace made a stop at a coffee shop before heading over to the building where they were having the auditions.

"What can I get for you?" Asked an attractive man whom's name tag read Brent.

"A medium caramel mocha please." Grace smiled as she pulled out her wallet.

"That will be $3.50. What's your name, miss?" He spoke as he typed on the computer in front of him.

"Grace." She said.

"That's a pretty name. My boyfriend's sister's middle name is Grace." He smiled back at the girl, looking at her for the first time.

"Thank you and I like your name too." She said, taking in the fact that the boy was into men. It was always the cute ones she thought.

"You don't look like you're from around here." Brent pointed out as he checked out the girl.

"Is it that noticeable?" She asked with a small frown forming on her face.

"It is but don't worry. It's actually a good thing. So Grace, what brings you to the famous Los Angeles? Are you a tourist? A runaway? Or are you a sunshine maven? No, wait, I know! You're an aspiring actress." He confidently guessed.

"For a matter of fact I actually am." Grace chuckled as she saw the pair of brown eyes light up.

"I knew it! I have like this sixth sense where I can just guess things about people." He smugly said.

"What do you usually predict about people?" She curiously asked.

"Wether they're going to be able to make it here or not and by looking at you Grace, I believe you're going to make it even more than what you think." He said. Before Grace could say anything else, her coffee had come.

She handed him the money and smiled as she took the drink and bided him goodbye, going her way. She left her car where she parked it and walked across the street to Castle Green. The building was tall and was a tan color with some red on it. Some palm trees were casted in front of it, reaching past its height. The building looked like it was built in the 60's or so but it was beautiful and to say Grace was stunned was the least. Grace had always been a big fan of architectures and structures in general.

After gaping at the building for a few minutes, Grace decided to get a closer look and go inside.

"How may I help you?" A women asked as soon as she entered.

"I'm here for the auditions. Julienne Andrews is expecting me." She said.

"Ah, right this way," The women smiled, leading Grace to where Julie was. "Just take a right and the first door on your left is the room." The women finished, leaving before Grace could thank her.
