"This is Jim Hellerman, reporting live for Channel 2 News outside of the Capital West bank at Main and Sixth. A group of heavily armed men stormed the bank not three hours ago and took an unknown number of hostages."'
DAHLIA MADE HER WAY to the side of the bank. There was a back door that she was going to have to kick open. Diego and Klaus were next to her, they had their school uniforms on and their masks. The three of them made it to the back door and she kicked it, but nothing happened.
She leaned her ear up against the door and heard a gun cocking. She sighed and closed her eyes, and focused on the person on the other side of the door. Dahlia focused her mind on them and getting inside their head, which was fairly easy. He wasn't a strong person, mentally she concluded. His fear was easy to find and was the usual. Spiders and clowns, that was easy and she used her powers to make him see a spider clown in front of him.
The trio heard a scream from the other side of the door and then it opened. The man ran out screaming and Klaus knocked him out with a piece of wood he picked up off the ground. Dahlia gave him a thumbs up and Ben shook his head, but walked in with the other two following close behind.
"Hey, get them behind the counter!" A man yelled to his partner and pointed his gun at the hostages. The other hand held a phone. Dahlia, Ben and Klaus watched from afar waiting for their time to intervene. The alarmed blared. "Now you've put me in a position where I gotta do something I don't want to do. "Hmm? Shit!" Allison approached the man. "Hey, get back with the others."
"I heard a rumor." Allison started and looked the man up and down. Ben, Klaus and Dahlia were hiding behind a wall when Five teleported next to them.
"What? What did you say?" The man asked angrily.
"I heard a rumor that you shot your friend in the foot." She said to him and the man took his gun and cocked it.
He pointed the gun and the other man who was rounding up more of the hostages. "Hey, dude. What the hell?" He said but before he could say any more the first man shot him in the foot, then another bullet hit a glass window. Everyone in the bank started to scream with duct tape still on their mouths.
"We just heard shots from inside the bank. It's uncertain if any hostages have been harmed in that. There's some movement on the roof. Possibly law enforcement."
Luther jumped in through the ceiling and grabbed one of the robbers and threw him out of the window. Five teleported away, then Klaus and Dahlia started to walk towards the chaos.
"Looks like one of the armed robbers has been thrown from the bank."
"Guns are for sissies. Real men throw knives." Diego came running with two knives in his hands and he threw them. They curved and hit another robber and pinned him to the wall. Dahlia walked closer to the next man and focused on the lamp that was next to him, she threw it at him with her powers and he collapsed on the floor.
