hey reader's,
you may have heard about the mass shooting across two mosques in new zealand, an i want to say hat my heart goes out to everyone affected, those 49 that died and those 20 that were crucially injured. it's such a cruel world we live in. for people to be doing such things in 2019. it has been on my mind all day and it truly hurts to think that we lost 49 innocent souls, all because of a racist.

another thing i want to address is the strike that youth all around the world went on today. that just shows that we see NO ACTION NOR CHANGE happening and we have our older generations to blame, as well as ourselves. climate change is a real AND important issue in our world today, yet world leaders decide to push it aside. we are t old enough to take action or legally vote and it has come to the point where we need to portray our anger to get people listening. we want to raise our future children in a safe environment and honestly the apocalypse is bound to happen if we don't do anything. we need to reduce on plastic and carbon waste, we need to keep the earth cool. we need to protect our home.

despite being younger individuals there are still some ways that we can help:

reduce on plastic waste: go plastic straw free for a whole month! this will reduce he use of plastic waste if we get more people to do it, and hopefully replace plastic straws for paper instead. we all occasionally complain about how they get soggy in drinks but let's think of how much of a favour we are doing to the world!

water: be sure to close taps and take shorter showers. i know we all love standing around and enjoying hot water for about a solid five minutes, but reducing shower time, conserves water (which is great) and also stops to you getting told off by siblings/parents/carers for using up all of the hot water 😉

it will be great if we can all do something to make a difference, so we need to all start now. research more and find out how you can help!
