A very slow morning

The day arrived as I slowly woke up. It was a rainy morning, perfect to sleep till the hunger starts to kick in as an urgent necessity. I looked up at the ceiling, but something was right... I felt a weird weight on my chest, a weight I never felt before... I thought I was going to have a heart attack or that I did something terrible last night, but, when I glanced at my chest, I found her, sleeping deeply on top of me.

I blushed when I saw her arms getting lost in my back, trying desperately to find a warm place, and hugging me even tighter... I was terrified! I never had anybody near me, and even less sleeping on top of my chest, almost with her lips, kissing me! I always was a loner, sleeping in any place that I found myself comfortable, and waking up completely alone...

I couldn't describe the feeling that I was experiencing at that moment... A feeling that totally warmed my cold heart, and just begged me to stay still, enjoying the moment that could probably end in the least expected moment...

I wrapped my arm around her very slowly, looking at her while she smiled, feeling something that could protect her from any trouble that could be lurking in the real world. I was happy... I was for the first time ever enjoying a morning, instead of skipping it right away. She looked so peaceful... So beautiful... I started to caress her head very gently. As gently as you would caress a baby while he or she is sleeping deeply, getting lost in the safe land of happiness that it's their head. She was a loner as well, always apart from anybody and living her life the way she wanted, stopping from now and then to take a peek at an awesome sunset, or appreciating the little details life offered to her as a gift.

She slowly waked up, looking around a bit confused. What was she doing there? Who was she hugging? Why did she felt arms around her? Which one this feeling that made this moment so intense, but comfortable? She slowly looked at me, while I looking up. She squeaked, and hugged me very tight, hiding her face almost immediately in my chest.

"A-Andrew? I-is t-this you?..."

"Huh... yeah?"

"Yes or no?!"

"I am~"

She squeaked more, being happy and terrified at the same time.
"A-am I dreaming?..."

"Hmmm..." I pinched her cheek softly.

"Dummy..." She giggled softly.
"D-did we d-did someth..."

"No!" I interrupted, blushing hard enough to make me feel dizzy.

"I'm happy..." She hugged me really tight. "So happy! But I dunno why..." She pouted cutely "I'm sowwy..."

"It's okay now... I know how you feel now..." I smiled, while slowly caressing her head. "I don't why neither..."

She giggled slowly while looking at me while crawling towards me. She looked at me deeply while smiling.

"BAKA! DON'T EVER SCARE ME LIKE THAT!" She pinched my cheek softly, trying to not harm me in any way.

"I promise, I promise... Geez... You really freaked out, didn't you?"

She pouted while nodding softly.

"I'm sorry... I won't do it again..."

"I know you won't... I already know how you feel dummy..." She smiled sweetly.

A feeling got stuck in my head, and in my heart, always remember that first morning together~
