On one day in 1989, 43 infants are inexplicably born to random, unconnected women who showed no signs of pregnancy the day before. Cassidee Evans appeared to be one of them. Cassi was walking from her college campus when a sharp pain hit her hard in the stomach.

Immediately someone came to help her, seeing the pain that flashed among her face as she doubled over. Cassi's screams of agony were all that were heard. The young man was frantically trying to calm her when he saw the large bump on her stomach.

"Ma'm, I-I-I think your pregnant" the man managed to say to her despite her screams interrupting him.

"That's n-n-not" she screamed once again before continuing her sentence "it's not possible, I wasn't pregnant when I left".
Her screams sounded throughout the campus as she pushed her miracle baby out. Once it was over Cassi then realised it wasn't just one baby but two, twins.

It was only a few hours after Cassi had given birth, that her second child had miraculously died with no colour in his body, energy completely drained. A Man who goes by the Name Sir Reginald Hargreeves, came to collect her now singular child. Cassi didn't put up a fight when he did, she just wanted it out of her life.

"How much do you you want for them?" The man asked her.

"500,000 pounds"

"Deal" the man shook her hand and off he was with her unwanted child in a pram with the number 0 on the side. It was only then to Cassidee wonder what was to become of her newborn.

13 Years later

"5,4,3,2... Jim Halaven reporting live for channel 2 outside the capitalised bank on main and sixth. A group of heavily armed man stormed the bank not even 3 hours ago and took an unknown number of hostages with them."

"GET THEM BEHIND THE COUNTER! YOU HEARD ME!" The heavily armed men were throwing the hostages behind the counter while the man who appeared to be the leader was in an intense call.

"Now you've put me in a position where I've gotta do something I don't wanna do HM? SHIT!" Just as the man finished his call, a little girl came up from behind him. "Hey, what are you doing? Get back with the others!"

The girl simply smiled and whispered "I heard a rumour"

"WHAT! what did you just say?!" The man yelled in her face.

"I heard a rumour that you shot your friend in the foot" Her voice echoed as she spoke. Just like the girl said the man shot his friend in the foot.

"There seems to have been shots fired from inside the bank and it's not clear how many hostages were harmed in that" Jim Halaven spoke into the camera.

"UP THERE!"

"LOOK!!"

"OH MY GOD!"

"And now there appears to be movement on the roof, possibly law enforcement" Jim spoke again after hearing the shouts of the citizens. Everyone looked to the roof of the building as a figure jumped across it.

From inside the bank, a boy, no older then the girl, falls from the roof and throws one of the men out of a nearby window.

"A man was just thrown out of one of the windows" Jim reported as kept an eye on the outside looking for anything else.

"Guns are for sissies, real men use knives" another boy appeared, throwing a knife at one of the men with such accuracy, no one could compare. The fighting continues on the inside as everyone on the outside waits in anticipation.

"STAY BACK YOU FREAKS!" The leader yelled.

"Hey, be careful up there" One kid told him.

"Yea, we wouldn't want you to get hurt" Another kid spoke.

"Stay back!"

"Or what?" As the man looked upon the kids in masks and what he thought was a school outfit, one of the young boys appeared beside him and fooled around with him before switching his gun for a stapler. "That's one badass stapler."

A young girl teleported in front of him as he looked down to see his stapler instead of a gun. She quickly grabbed his hand twisted it beyond repair before manipulating his mind to swivel in his darkest fears and memories.

As he lay on the floor cradling himself, the young girl from before grabbed ahold of his face and with a strong force twisted it to the side. "Ahh, come on Sunshine. That was gross." A boy with Blonde hair said. "Your name definitely isn't right. It should've been Luna or Moon." Sunshine just stared and then walked towards the last remaining room they hadn't checked.

Everyone then continued to walk behind her until they to reached the door. The group then turned to look at the smallest boy, who hadn't done a thing since they started. It was obvious that it was finally his turn to do something as everyone had participated in some way.

He looked to Sunshine as if he wanted her to do something. She sighed before speaking up. "I'll do it Luther, god knows none of you will." Luther glared at her before nodding. She quietly stepped into the room and unleashed her inner demons. In a split second, everyone in that room was dead and Sunshine stood in the middle of it covered in blood.

"Alrighty then, let's roll out. Luther, get Ben and Klaus," She instructed her brother as she noticed the two of them gone."Allison, Diego and Five, make sure that the hostages have completely left and that there aren't any leftovers." Everyone nodded before doing what the were told, some with a little hesitation.

After checking through the entire building for any stragglers and hostages, the seven kids made their way out of the bank.

"There's people coming out of the bank, it's not the armed robbers, it-it's kids in school uniforms with masks on." Jim reported back to the camera. From nearby, on top of a building, sat Sir Reginald and one of the many adopted children.

"Why can't I go play with the others?" The young girl asked.

"We've been through this Number 7, I'm afraid there is just nothing special about you" Sir Reginald told her with a sigh.

"Oh" was all she managed to get out.

As the children stood in a line in order of their numbers, Sir Reginald answered all the questions asked about them."Our world is changing. There are some among us, that are gifted. I give you the Umbrella Academy."

"What about their parents?" An interested reported asked. From her spot in the line, Sunshine looked at the reporter and then to her father, awaiting his answer.

"They are out of the picture."
