Bree didn't consider herself that lucky, but other fallen angels would have over the fact that she got taken in by a normal human family that knew about her situation, providing her with clothes, food, money, a roof over her head. Saying and thinking about it didn't sound real.

This luxury was given while you were waiting for your trial, normally it didn't last this long.

It's been almost three years since she had to live with them and it was different, having to pretend she was human. It was easy to pretend she was human when she was with her human friends even if one of them wasn't.

Humans can easily die, Bree was a witness to that when Elena and Jeremy's parents died last summer but Elena survived and Bree wanted to be a good friend, help.

Elena stopped enjoying stuff she used to, Jeremy found pleasure in drugs.

As an angel she used to have the ability to empathy along with other things but due to her being cast away she lost quite a lot of them, gaining some new ones.

She didn't know how to comfort Elena and Jeremy, instead she just listened to Elena rant and said some stuff to her, but with Jeremy was different, all she had to do was not judge him drinking and using and make him laugh.

Sometimes Bree found herself thinking, of when she was an angel, she missed it and the friends she used to have but being a fallen angel gave her a chance to live like a human and make human friends, and she learned to love them. She couldn't see her friends who were angels because it was against the rules while the circle of angels were still determining whether she should be punished or not, be an angel or stay a fallen one.

Her phone ringed when she walked into school parking lot which was almost empty other than the cars, Bree looked at the contact name to see it was Elena, Bree accepted it getting ready for what she was going to say. "B, where are you? Class is almost going to start. You're usually early."

Bree could hear the concern on her voice, Bree sighed feeling guilty, pushing a strand of her hair behind her ear, "I couldn't sleep yesterday, I was over thinking." Bree opened the door to the school and walked in, only a couple people were inside and Elena was standing right in front of Bree's locker.

"About what?" Elena asked, curious not noticing her yet.

"My life before Mystic Falls. Hey Elena."

Elena jumped a little and turned around to face her, "You scared me!" Elena told her, her hand over the place where her heart is. Bree let out a laugh, her eyes sparkling, she could feel her powers growing stronger.

Feeling emotions like envy, fear, pride, greed, lust, practically all the negative emotions made her stronger, faster, and other stuff. Bree knew how to take advantage of that sometimes when she needed to. If she didn't need to, she wouldn't.

"Ready for history?" Elena asked her, noticing her eyes light up.

Bree loved history, not for the subject but for their teacher. The disappointment in his eyes when he walks in and Bree is still sitting there.

Bree shifted her bag over her shoulder than looked back at Elena, "come on." Bree knew not to ask how she was because she quickly learned learned that question was barley ever answered with the truth. They linked arms and walked towards history class together, Elena telling her about her encounter with the new boy.

______________

"His name is Stefan Salvatore. He lives with uncle up at the old Salvatore Boarding House. He hasn't lived here since he was a kid. Military family, so they moved around a lot. He's a Gemini, and his favorite color is blue." Caroline told Bonnie and Bree as they walked inside the grill, Bree froze when she heard the name 'Stefan Salvatore' before proceeding.
