6 months before Doctor Eggman invaded the world. Shadow and Rouge go undercover to find what Eggman is up to.
Sorry if the story sucks 😴, but I hope you will enjoy this story.
When they reach the Resistance's base, "Rouge, thank you for joining us. Oh, and Shadow too.", Amy said with excitement. "Glad you can help us.", said the echidna.
"No problem, right now our job is to save the world.", said the bat. "OK, this is our plan.....", Then Knuckles tell the Resistance about saving Sonic and a person came to them.
"Hey Rookie, you need to find Sonic at Eggman's base.", said Knuckles. The Rookie nodded and went to Eggman's base. "Is it okay to let him take Eggman's robots?", said Shadow.
"It's OK Shadow, he trained a lot of time using his wispon and he's our only hope to find Sonic.", said Knuckels. "Well if he find Sonic then we have a chance to save the earth.", said Rouge.
After that, Shadow and Rouge go to town to find the victims and tails take them to a save place where they can hide from the robots. Meanwhile Silver is looking for Eggman's robots where they are and inform them to where they will go.
After a long day, at night. "Sonic, I'm glad that your alright!", said Amy while Sonic is run away from her but Sonic miss Amy too. "Everyone, let's sleep for a while and the next day we have to save the world.", said the echidna.
Shadow and Rouge go back to their room and rest. Shadow go to the bathroom to brush his teeth. "Shadow.......", an anonymous sound runs to Shadow's ears. "Shadow.....", It said it again.
"What?", He question to himself and look at his mirror. And his reflection isn't his but another person. "Mephiles! Why are you here? I've end you aren't I?", said the black hedgehog.
"I'm just here to tell you some tragic news.....", Shadow can't believe Mephiles is here with him, he feels something bad will happen. "At the end, all your friends will die, even you Shadow. And your friend will betray you.", Shadow doesn't believe in him.
But in his mind, "who will betray the Resistance? Is it Sonic? It could be.... I don't even know what Mephiles tells me who betray us?"
"What are you planning Mephiles? And I don't believe you....", "You need to Shadow it is what I see at the future...", said the eyes-snake hedgehog.
Shadow want to hit the mirror, but he doesn't want the others to wake up and heard this. In the end, he didn't do except grabbing the sink tightly, looking at it.
Mephiles tells this make him felt that this heavy truth that make everyone with no hope. When he look back to the mirror, Mephiles disappeared. Then Shadow go back to sleep and rest for a while.
He had a dream, he was at a tall building with Rouge. She wear a white dress, the skirt is at her knee and she wear gold earrings. She smile at him and also himself too. They hold hands together watching the sunset. The sky is really beautiful, it has rose pink mix with blue sky and the sun shine the clouds like gold. (but not really)
Then he wake up and Rouge is outside his door and knock his door. "Shadow wake up!", she shouted. "OK, I'm awake!", he shouted too. "OK then.", She walk away to the base.
Shadow thinking of the dream, "Was I dreaming and I felt I like it.", Shadow with blushes. Shadow thinking what is this feeling he had in the dream.
Then he never think it again, "I don't want to think that much, I should be working.", he go to the bathroom and take a shower.
After that, Mephiles appear in the mirror. Shadow is freak out, at least he wears a tower around his waist. "Shadow I can see your face is telling me something, tell me Shadow.", he ask.
"Well, I....", Shadow blushing. "Your in love with that bat huh?", Mephiles with eyebrows up and down a few times. "In love with her? She's just an partner, after all she likes Knuckles then me.
(I make Mephiles being good and you could say it's an AU. I also change the story a little bit.) " Shadow, do you want to know Rouge ends up with who?", said Mephiles. "Shadow where are you?", Rouge at his door calling him.
"I need to go, the Resistance is waiting for me.", He get out to the bathroom and see Rouge at his door just shock about him half naked.
"Shadow, what are you waiting for!?", She shouted at him and blush a little. "Oh just give me a break, why are you get in here?!", said the hedgehog with a tower.
"I don't know you are at the bathroom! And why are you take so long!?", they argue really loud even the Resistance can hear their voice.
"Young love, even I don't know Rouge will end up with who? But for me, I ship them really crazy.", said Mephiles then he disappeared.
