For almost two weeks, nothing had happened and everything seemed to be rather peaceful. It was both a good thing, yet also a bad. The fact that everything was so quiet showed us that Zakura may be planning how to attack and try to destroy the school once more. However, it may have been that Zakura had decided not to attack the school and that everything was going to be okay. We all believed that he was planning something, and just not ready to attack the school.
Jason and I had been training at the training grounds a lot lately, and I had kind of thought that maybe I should tell him exactly how I felt. I hadn't told anyone that I liked Jason, but I had been told by Hiroki that he liked Chinatsu, seeing as they both were half beings. He was a damphir, a being which was half human and half vampire, whereas she was half vampire and half wolf.
"Hey Jason." I said, as I dodged a kick from him, before sending a small ball of fire towards him, which he easily dodged.
"Yeah?" He questioned, wondering what I either was going to ask, or say. I still hadn't made up my mind if I was going to tell him my feelings, or if I was going to ask him about what he thinks about Hiroki and my sister.
"How cute would it be if Hiroki went out with Chinatsu?" I said, not wanting to reveal that Hiroki had feelings for her.
"That would be cute." He laughed lightly, as we ended our vigorous training for the day.The both of us decided that we would head back to the dorms and find the others. We knew they'd been figuring out what we were going to do if Zakura suddenly attacked us. They were all preparing somehow to protect themselves and the school as well. The school was the only home we all had at the moment and none of us wanted to lose it.
"I wonder what they've decided we should do." I said out loud, thinking both to myself, while asking Jason what he thought.
"I'm not sure, but they'll probably want to always be ready to fight." He answered, placing his hands within his trouser pockets.
"More than likely." I said, having thought exactly the same thing.**********
By the time we had reached the dorms, it had gotten rather late, and our dreaded curfew was nearing. I figured that seeing as there was maybe some other girl within the school who also liked Jason, that I should tell him how I felt about him. Just as I was going to tell him, we suddenly had seen both Chinatsu and Hiroki talking to each other, both with the faintest - yet very noticeable - hint of red upon their cheeks. Was Hiroki finally asking her out?
***********
When Hiroki left and headed towards his dorm, Chinatsu turned into her wolf form and ran back towards the girls' dorms. I looked at Jason in curiosity, as Shadow and Sophia walked over. They always seemed to hang out together, and to be honest, I thought they looked cute together, even though they were related.
"Hey you lot." Sophia smiled. "You should be heading to your dorms." She informed us. Sophia was the student the Head Teacher had picked to make sure all the students were in their dorms by curfew. However, sometimes she would bend the rules for her friends.
"We know Sophia." Jason said, rolling his eyes slightly. "We were just on our way there."
"Alright." She smiled. "See you guys tomorrow then." And with that, both her and Shadow started to head to their dorms. Clearly Jason and I were the last ones that weren't in our dorms at the moment and Sophia trusted us enough to get to our dorms before the school went into lockdown protections. The lockdown protection was so that nobody from the outside world who didn't have powers and wasn't looking to join the school, or was looking to destroy the school could get access into the grounds. It was very strange, but if any of us students were in the grounds when it was activated for the night, then we would get into serious trouble. The kind of serious trouble that would result in us having our abilities temporarily taken from us and I couldn't go without using my mind reading abilities. They couldn't take our powers though because we needed them for classes. However, on their way to their dorms, darkness descended upon the school, and within the blink of an eye, there was Zakura. Zakura had finally shown himself in person to us, and it looked like he was about to attack the school.
"Well well, if it isn't the teenagers who interfered with my earlier plans." His voice was dark, as well as deep. There was a scary edge to both his voice, and his entire presence.
"So what?" Shadow said, gently pushing Sophia behind him. "What do you want with us?" Shadow was one of the silent types and hardly ever spoke, but when he wanted too, he could get rather angry and have a dark tone to his voice.
"Nothing major." Zakura smirked. "Just your deaths!" And with that, dark orbs were sent in our directions, but luckily for us we managed to get out of the way in time.
"This looks bad." I said, growling slightly. "How are we going to beat him?" I looked to Jason, then Sophie and Shadow. I hadn't realised but the darkness had caused Hiroki, Chinatsu, Shane Yuuki and Cain to all rush over towards us.What was going to happen to us all? Was Zakura going to kill us, and succeed in his plan of destruction? Before any fighting began, a beam of light struck Zakura appearing to have set him on fire, although it had only burned him. Without any explanations, Zakura vanished, but in his place stood two figures, one male and the other female. But one question remained; who were they?
